Thanks for posting this. The 150th anniversary is uncovering a lot of history. When i was a girl i was pleased to think that none of my ancestors could have been slaveholders, till i found out that Urith Garr(teen's one-legged mother) was from Kentucky. My reading of the Becksted book says that Grandfather George's ancestors moved to Canada around the time the American Revolution started. Funny, early draft dodgers?
