The Devine Narada Michael Walden
Narada

The most successful music producer in Bay Area Music history, Narada Michael Walden has worked with Whitney Houston, Maria Carey, and Barbra Streisand to name just three. Narada just got off the road playing drums with guitar god Jeff Beck over the last two and a half years and as soon as he got home he formed a great new rock band and has just released a killer new CD called "Thunder."

BAM's Ann-Marie Baldini and Chris Parsons have produced a fantastic feature on Narada Michael Walden and it captures the passion and spirit of a really great man. Thanks also to Rich Likong and David Baldini who are part of the BAM TV crew.

Dreams

I was trying to sleep after what was undoubtably one of The Best SNL performances ever..,( i dony live in the past!! I should say of late - ) and my Facebook comment about it promoted it. And I received a saweet note straight from my friend Dennis...
I have good friends that's not gender definitive!
I actually worked for him on a very special way, through his generous time and spectacular BAMMIES.

Fresh out of college of Marin's design and commercial arts program, I ran the entire sprinter printer shop, with the help of one man the owner, who ran the old fashioned offset printing machines. I was living my dream! Designing ads and cards and letterhead and wedding invitations ... And in a wonderful moment of serendipitous coincedence I created the BAY area music AWARD! "Bammies"
Yep ME!!

Cool huh!

My boss Todd would say back in 1989 that someday all this would be a flash in the pan, that soon computers would take over. And no one will be buying what they can make at home.

I was stunned at this revelation knowing how badly I wanted to be apart of it, I knew my time there was limited.

What an honor to be apart of the BAMMIES in that way, I still have a copy of it pre gold leaf stamped in my portfolio of art.

Dennis is a cool guy, and he said in his FB comment his Son produces on SNL
:) Laser Cats!! That was beyond funny and wonderful fun for me. I believe lasers will change the world. I actuslly operate a machine that can heal people everyday ! I am here to tell you we can turn back the clock on our skin -cells!
My
Skin is proof! It's a star trek future now!

My 90 year old patient who told me that he hadn't slept in years -and he finally slept and said he wasn't in pain.

I'm happy.

I was sure, until you ask me ... About my dreams.

Subconsciously I'm hiding from love and I'm deeply hurt.
I've seen such marvelous things, in my dreams. It is why I believe, I have no excuse. No denial of what is real and what is fiction either.
Love will find a way.
God keep us all safe.

Watch over our traveling brothers and sisters.

Always I'm the light.

Love Liz

It really is a virtual reality !

An actual book brought to you virtually - or digitally - but it's actually really paper ..

:)

I've been thinking a lot about books lately, I have some really old amazing books in my house !

I think I should actually publish a few of them right here!
Or sell them ... Anyone want a 1700 circa German bible ?
It's like the book of Kells! Minus The whole gold and jewels thing. Ever ask an Irish person this and have them look at you puzzled ?
Hmmm.
I'm sorry - but that is a magical story I would so love to see.
I want to go to Germany too- not to buy books though.

One word if you don't know it, don't worry about it, WAKKEN.
Ah !!! It would be an adventure. X)
Back to the book! Please love someone by buying them this series- its wonderful ! History - time travel and
Great writing !
I have an advanced copy of Gideon
It's now the Gideon Trilogy.
Fabulous fun! I had to have a real copy and I found it at Mrs. Dalloway's on College Ave in Berkeley CA. My all time favorite street for the good life! But- you can down load it from BN.com or other digital book outlets.

:) I hope you're smiling ! You are alive!
I'm smiling - see- :D

Because its HOLY WEEK!!
It is! It's like ...return of the King!

God help us!
Im always grateful for Easter. Let's start over.
Fresh.
It's that easy, crack that in your egg!

Give up your negative notions -believe in the progress only you can make- and then be that person.

I'll wash your feets,
Everyone !

See the best in people, walk gently on this earth and smile.

Easy for me to say- not always easy to do!
Watch out for white Rabbits! Don't take that negative rabbit hole!
Stay clear, watch for the chocolate in the garden.
Hurray for sunshiny days and the victory garden.

I'm not proud. I'm blessed.

Love Liz

Don't tell me you love me.., I don't want to know! well it's a wicked game I know - cant we just be friends? b/cwhat are we without our friends?

Heading past another milestone at what can only be explained as
All for the best.

My heart hears music! My ears ring. I really get the good vibes from my friends' music these days, at Soundwave Studios . Can it really be that good? it's definitely getting better.

Just a corner of my college art school project...I think I will take you on a journey of this house I live in. It is a strange and wonderful place. Full of old things, books, and plenty of work to be done.
Ill post some of the neat old photos of my grandfather and his carvings, the oddities ( plenty of them!) all the plants and the area that is Hayward. I know this is not my forever spot here, I am really looking forward to a new place that will be all mine. Until then, I'll make the best of the time I have here...

Peace
Gratitude
Hope

I miss twitter... I was watching you..

I don't have time to tweet - I used to just watch what other people would do- and then feel like I was apart of it. By retweeting or commenting. I was thrilled to get tweeted, and I looked everyday for responses.
I had select favorites and waited to be .. Next on his list...

I have an incredible life- really and sometimes it oozed out onto twitter - but then I realized I was watching one person more and more.

I was fascinated by his words, by his life by his brain. Yep, his thoughts. I write this knowing that many of you will get it and others will wonder.. Why?

Why would I be so attracted to another person online ? I knew my spouse was using this medium, and I was aware of his choices (and soon to be infidelities)it all just made me more of an introvert.
Struggling with my lonely news I continued to search, but truth is I'm not good with strangers. I'm not going to meet anyone from a dating service or an online meeting.
What was I thinking, when I was just that, to this beautiful long lost friend... I never realized Im just another face in the crowd, just another fan.

What made me think I was special - was it my imagination or my need to focus on something besides what was this impending failure of my marriage.

I can't deny that I wanted to believe it was more and that I was blind to my own misjudgments. I'm not unable to understand this type of friendship, I've had to endure my fair share of people who liked me, followed me and even yes stalked me at my work. I've net so many people, I've worked retail and restaurant and I know " Meet and Greet" It was something that I wasn't afraid of, but never did I think that I would become enamored with heavy metal again, and this heart of mine sure remembered the painful moments of -- the past.

I guess when I lost all hope I clung tight to what was and is the only thing that I could control-- and yet my understanding was clouded by a faded memory and roots deep in my childhood of a girl that walked away from it all.

I realized, I continue to walk away from it all- I taught myself to do that and it started with ... Friends, family and even love. I left myself behind and forced myself to get it together, probably long before I was ready.

This pattern repeats over and over, and the shattered bits and pieced of my life are sharp, cold and broken.

Buried deep within my soul I believed I had been able to stay true to the life I've only dreamed of; finding Steve and achieving my life goals shined new light on very dark shadows of my past.

I had a deeply buried long forgotten love for music that was now front and center. I can't explain in words exactly by music I was delivered.

When I started digging for what to do, to save my sanity when all around me was the loss of everything I believed in.. Music comforted me. Jazz played softly in my ears and the notes held me tight to loving memories of a childhood rich in traditional ways of piano like the first time you hear Linus and Lucy by Vince Guraldi. How does this work... I'm comforted by Jazz and I'm longing for heavy metal??! Huh?

I found Testament again, and I was hooked on the fabulous jazz of Alex Skolnick Trio? Is this nirvana ..
(I have some guarded memories of listening to Testament in a studio in Oakland back in the 80's, the best way to describe it is to say the my heart hurt to listen to the music. And it was bigger than I could handle along with the players. I just couldn't translate it, and that moved me deeply. Wait-My heart hurt??)
I was happy, this was my "Laughing place". I had rediscovered it inside me, and for the first time I didn't run or hide or pretend to he happy. It was refreshing , invigorating and motivating -
A spirit had returned to me that I was unable to face for more than 20 years. (had i the ability to translate it now- through the pain!? )

I used to drive to my happy-place to
See a view, the beach, the park, top of Mt.Tam - I was connected to my car, the road and a lonely truth that I assigned to myself. With my line on music, something that I really needed became clear. I could just turn it on, and instantly find zen. Better than drugs!

I was grateful. Positive that change was important and I focused on that goal. After I knew my children would be ok, I spread my wings and flew the proverbial coup.

Not nirvana ...

I loved enough to let go. I did not shut out the pain, or try to get over it and just move on - I just lived one day at a time.

Slowly the obvious became clear.

Long before the split, we split.
Much was neglected, and everything was different. And when you can count the people that care about you on one hand.. It is easy to see where the light shines; nothing stands in the way of progress like waiting for the past to make itself better. I'll not regret my life, and I forgive you Steve.

Many mysteries remain, that keep us apart. I'll not forget that you lost sight of us, and clearly found your own way.

Finding my own way, I look not to anyone to write my stories, or formulate my truth. I could pine away for the perfect person, and I could make myself sick thinking about the people I wish I was near to.

Or I could resist the temptation to lurk, and enjoy letting go. ;) lurking is weird - I'm not lurking or weird !

I continue to strengthen my healthy appetite for seeing friends, and remain steadfast for the ones that have remained near. As i move into the future this time I'm only going to show my authentic self no longer beleaguered with emotional compromises.

This is who I am. I love to love. And more than this, I would be lying if I said I didn't miss you..but- I'm glad I've broken through to the other side of tears and sadness and perfection.
This is ... Nirvana
Live long and prosper!!

Time for a new post!
I've missed this, finding time for the good things in life has been a challenge lately. I wanted to touch on a few subjects that have crossed paths with me so here are my random thoughts about bugs and birthdays...

Have you heard about this: Bees are dying off, because the flies are killing them?-

This is not a regular fly, its a BOT Fly,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bot_fly and they were imported from our government, because they said they wanted them to kill, the killer bees. Remember killer bees? I certainly do, and I remember thinking how will they kill one type off without killing the others off? That is the problem, and does anyone doubt that this is the utmost hush hush in secrets from our government. Now let me just make one thing clear I am not a "conspiracy theorist" I am a reader of science and my family has taken a certain interest in all the bugs and spiders and plants they can find, it rubs off you when you are a kid :) (. I have referred to my background of farming homesteader Oregonian family many times, its a proud thought I carry for them. I cant help it, I just love that land and how well they kept it up, have you ever tried to watch over an acre of land ? Well try, 50, or 100, its not easy! And thus I was told many a times to work hard and get on with it! Because a cows utter knows no Saturday or Holiday! :) You learn to do things like check for bugs, and even identify them from experience. Ahem.
Back to Bot flies, they are from Costa Rica South America, and they dont just lay eggs in bees, they also hijack Mosquitos, and when the mosquito injects his tail of numbing agent into YOUR skin

"The human botfly occasionally uses humans as the host to its larvae. The larva, because of its spines, can pose an extremely painful sub-epidermal condition. Removal processes include placing raw meat on to the area, which in theory will coax the larva out.[citation needed] Another option is to use the tree sap of the matatorsalo, found in Costa Rica, which is reputed to kill the larva, yet leave its body in the skin.[11] Additionally, one can attempt to seal the breathing hole of the larva with nail polish orvaseline and then, after a day, squeeze out the suffocated, dead larva.[12] Use of adhesive tape can work, but carries additional risk of infection because portions of the larva's breathing tube can be broken off by the tape and make the remainder of the body difficult to remove. " Wikipedia

IT will push the fly larva into your skin! Its not a joke, it hurts and it will eventually become full grown and make you very sick, eat through your skin to get free! it will make a huge scar- you might have seen these types of scars if you travel into the countries where the native people have to endure all types of insects! It makes my skin crawl! In our family, we knew my brother had at least one on his back, he said it felt incredibly disgusting, eating his flesh, and it drove him mad! My father had to help him get it out! They are much like ticks with the burrowing, but unlike ticks they need air, so they will push up a tube to keep the skin from closing in on them this is the only way you can see them when they are tiny enough to pull out without much damage. You can put oil on your skin, for many reasons, I know for a fact that it is the best way to kill all microscopic bugs on your skin, including your eyelashes and hair. And if you think you don't have any bugs living on you, you live a sheltered life my friend.
Having children you learn about lice- oh BOY! did you say lice? the s@#%t that lives in your hair and can stay active in your sheets, carpets and clothes for months, yes I did. Oil your hair, its the only way. In Iraq they oil the hair every day, in fact this is a common practice in most third world countries. And dont say, I wash my hair all the time this wont happen to me because those bugs LOVE clean hair, hense the oil remedy. :) I say this because I know, NOT that I had it- but yea my kids did, and its a nasty bug that can reproduce faster than you can imagine=-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Head_louse
yes they are disgusting! ew! watch out !

Are we grossed out yet? WELL I am those poor bees, and this isn't funny! without bees everything will die! Life a we know it will never be the same! I was told early on, to count the bees, watch to see how many you see in a day, and count them.It used to be hard you couldn't count them, now its like 3, its not hard to count them. I also count butterflies, remember those? I live near the Santa Cruz mountains and rarely see a California Monarch, why is that? WE used to see them all the time? In Redding you will see the large swallow tail butterfly, they are so large they can barely fly, they are bigger than many birds, and slow! the cats can eat them right up! I know I posted about the birds last time, and now I am posting about the bees, so i guess the next subject I want to talk about it is...

Birthdays !

Isn't it great that each year we get a chance to renew our spirit with joy an find our friends and celebrate?
For the children they love this, little babies are given cakes to smash, and piles of presents and people to sing to them, and they don't remember a thing. As we get older, we forget to do much and stay far away from cake because its fattening- where is the middle ground here. I had some doosey birthday celebrations as a teen, my 18th being the biggest messiest and most embarrassing! I can only hope that its not going to show up on Facebook any time soon. As teens we just float through our lives without the worries that we have as adults, relying on our strengths like, our parents, our friends, our youthful looks, and our lack of debts.
Birthdays are very special, at any age, and no matter what you do, if you are blessed with a baby and get to have birthday parties, I am so happy and proud of you! This little ritual will remain your heart as a parent forever, and release a river of memories, flowing from the heart of our sources of life; we become so grateful to our parents once we try to recreate something that is unforgettable for ourselves and our children. It has been tradition to have big events, and include everyone, this doesn't always work out well and as adults we learn to relish the small parties.

As I turn a middle age of 45, I look at the photo I took of myself just last year on my 44 Birthday, I use it for my Twitter photo. I had many things on my mind, and I was so confident that I would achieve them, I had a certain person on my mind and it made me smile like that. Monalisa might understand and I am not telling, but Lord knows my life has changed enormously since last February. Its a road that I have traveled too far to go back now, and the achievements are both great and sad. For my kids it's not so easy, for my pets it's fair, and for myself it's a little like the butterfly. I really needed to change, and I did, but now I fly and there is much more to watch out for, much more that can happen. Life is fragile, and everyday we watch the news and see the death of someone that we many not know, but it gives us a glimpse of our own mortality and I can hope that it can renew the spirit of love for life. It might be shorter than we thought, and it might not have the people we wanted in it, or the jobs we dreamed of, or the material objects we desire, but its not without promise. In the eyes of an infant it is easy to see this promise of life, so sweet and undaunted by its weight, as we age its harder to keep that glimmer in our eyes, and our eyes still wonder if what we see is real or just for show. There is not doubt that each day does bring new opportunity, as a new day it offers so much more than your eyes can see, and all you have to do is change your mind. Find yourself, in the eyes of life, where ever you see it, but don't close your eyes to it. No matter what, life does go on, and it really will not be the same without you. The littlest gesture of friendship can be supportive to the friends you have, even if its just email or a post on a blog or website. You can make a difference in the lives of your friends and family, its not expensive to write, and the time it takes to say hello, is minimal. I know how hard the daily grind of my life is now, I usually do well all day, until tha drive home in traffic, that is when it gets hard to hold back the feelings. I can hardly believe how much I have lost, and how much has changed for me and my kids. My relatives have been tested as well, and I can only hope they hang in there for me, and know this is just a half way point, I know its not forever. Does everyone do this at middle age? Is that why I want a newer faster, cooler car? I really do! Not to impress you, but actually yea to impress you, NO HAHAH- the Bay Area makes you want to have a snazzy car! If only I had real wings...

With this next birthday I would judge myself harshly for the mistakes I have made, if I didn't have the great gifts of a new job,and a great boss, along with some of the most generous and amazing friends I could ever ask for, so I don't ask. I am just still. I am grateful for everyday, and strive to use the new wings to fly to my favorite places, and see things I have only dreamed of.

Everyday, we are the biggest part of the change that this world can see, we are the insects in the universe, I can pollinate friends with the joy to spread the growth of something greater in the future. Ill publish another book this year, I'll find a way to buy another house, and I'll know who my real friends are. It just so happens to be national HUGS day, and I am down for that. I am a hugger :) Here's to your health, your birthday and oil up!

LOVE

LIZ

While I was at work today, the cats ate my bird.

My 16 year old who still on his school break, somehow has no idea how it happened.

Tip bits of my imagination

Just last night the news was touting how very soon cars may be required to have rear view cameras. Because we can't possibly drive safer or smarter without them.
We also need air bags, 4 disk breaks - and booster seats for our kids until they are 8!

It won't be long now. Enjoy this freedom of actually driving, steering and breaking the speed limit. It's not going to last. They will be driving our cars by the next generation. It's obvious that's the direction were going in.

Btw I should've been a race car driver... I'll open a race track when that bs happens.

New Year

It's another year per the calendar and I know I have to say HAPPY NEW YEAR at all the best opportunities. Does it really push the restart button? Does it?

If only it was that easy. If only we had simple lives, that crossed all borders of understanding. If and when that happens I'll be waiting.

I'm a person who has been a lover of stillness. My mother would comment how calm I was as a child. A thinker, a serious ponderer of life's awesomeness. Why ? I just had to. I was surrounded by much older adults, being the youngest, it made me grow up faster. I was told to act a certain way, dress a certain way, and be quiet. It wasn't a choice it was expected of me. Conform or suffer.

I was grateful for all my good things and people around me- it was a good idea to listen I knew this. So I thought this is how everybody survived , you did as you were told. Worked for someone else, paid your dues, and good things would be my reward. So that was my mistake. (I see that now in my kids- boy do they fight back!! Wow and it was the demise of my marriage no one told HIM what to do!)

It would be apparent how different I was when I struggled to grow up Around those that could lie and manipulate at a rate that could surpass my wildest imagination, too bad, I could care less about the superficial world. I had too much supernatural to deal with, undeniably. Plus I was this bombshell girl- no one ever let me forget it. It just never ended about the looks- but don't worry it will serve you well- my mother would say. And then she'd say, marry a rich man...um?

To bad I wasn't one of those that could do that. I'm run by my heart, it sometimes will confide in my choice but most of the time- its like a magic box that knows exactly what it's doing. I can't explain it, clairvoyance is a gift and it's bewildering at best.

I couldn't like or even kiss someone for their 'money '. And honestly the ones that were tenaciously after me ..I actually wanted to like ... Well I tried, it lasted about 6 hours, and nope money wasn't enough for me- I knew I had to follow my heart. I learned through date after date with famed and rich and handsome ... And even through corvette gifts and far away travels, turning it all down wasn't anything I regret. You have to prove to me you love me, with devotion and affection, once you can do that, I know money is not the focus.

I would live to name names here, but I won't. It was a lonely life for me actually, I think men construe good looks for -must be taken, when it seems to falsely facade me with a smile of a clown. I would attract all sorts, but nothing that was real. I even heard, your just a pretty face, it's not like I would marry you ? What does that mean?!
To try to date was icky, it was horrible and I hated it.

I just couldn't take what wasn't mine, including someone's heart when I knew it really wasn't mine to have. It hurt to play with someone emotions, and yet now I wonder... Was it just my emotions? Who really loves one person- I'm thinking very few people even desire this - state of oneness. Men everywhere claim the armadillo in there pants is in control, wandering and unfaithful but truth is even women do this. I'm unable to do that either, I just can't play with your heart.

I was on the outside looking in at my people that I missed and knew, I just had move on. Most of the close friends I had were obsessed with what felt like kids music and I was raised on adult jazz I couldn't -just Rock I needed a little more roll, and love and gratefulness. I walked away... I looked back and missed it, and no one really kept in contact. Not really- I used to say I cheated time. I moved and just started over...
I packed my dreams away, my experiences, my life's secrets safely hidden from my view. Not the first time for me anyway. I had to keep it together all my life, through my parents divorce and a subsequent latch key life style from age 11.

It was just a lie anyway- I felt. Wasn't it? If your friends disappear, they weren't friends. I grew to know I was my own best friend, and I grew invisible bumpers and antennae to keep me safe. I just didn't take anyone's bs. It wasn't like I was an island, because I played my fair share if foolish games, and found that hurt isn't exclusive to friends, people who you hardly know are even better at it than I would dream.

So I convinced myself, to dress up and play nice a be married. It was divinely guided and I believed it, that story should be told here- ill only reference it because my x has requested me specially not to write about him.

The hardest part was the dichotomy of being this female in a world that seeks to somehow preserve beauty and show great love to me through the most unbelievable miracles in the face of cruel hardship and abuse from the ones I couldn't choose. In other words prefect strangers brought me happiness and people I knew hurt me more than I could take.

If you understand that, you probably love to work, like me. You love to do good for others, like me, and you probably even talk to strangers. This is not exactly resourceful. There isn't anything more confusing than to be liked and admired but all the world, but abandoned by your own.
It's incredibly lonely.
It's when I turned to prayer and meditation this inner peace was truly joyous ; but again lonely because I'm a people person- I can't fake it.

Time flew by - 30 years... And I've come full circle. I had unfinished business and well I'm back to fix it. I connected with a long lost friend and felt my heart heal a hole that has hurt everyday. I am so grateful. Many of my old good friends have been absolutely glorious to me, and I'm very proud how they have grown up and lived their life.

All the same people doing about the same things, only this time a license to do what ever the hell we want! it's just not what I had in mind. Me dating again? Me and the world raising this teen ... I'm clinging to beliefs that I was never going to do this again! What -again I was willing to dress up and sit at the table and be quiet?

Not this time. I'm going to live out loud, without bumpers and rose colored glasses. I'm going to have a little talk with my heart and let it know
this is me- give me something to hold onto!
So I twitter insanely. I go to loud rock shows that I missed out on. And I paint the world in vivid color as my canvas too plain for human consumption. I steal around and find new friends and even play guitar now-
Oh no! My kids say - I'm happy for you- and I'm finally living my own life.
Pesky heart ache still creeps in and I still bleed like a teenager.
It's not a push button world, I can't turn it off and on. But I can change the channel and find exactly what I like.
Even if it's just looking, maybe now I join the rest of the world and just enjoy ride and open the window and let my hair get messy.
I will work hard to create a goal by this time next year.

Watch me :
New car
New biz
New friends
Renewed pride in the dream.

If I've tweeted or talked to much I can apologize. Part of living out loud is listening, I'd be interested in your opinion your truth and your life matters to me. Go ahead and email me at

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I don't think that this will be a very good Christmas.

It's so very difficult to smile - and yet we must - life goes on . It's not up to us to choose our lessons - our troubles. It's just our choice to do the best we can with the time we have .
( yes Tolkien )

The people that care enough to stay with us, the people that really love us share time with us. They keep us close and they shower us with devotion. We know who they are in our life. And when you are at your darkest moment when it really feels like no one is with you. When the silence is killing you and the darkness of night devours your joys. This silent moment is when you can feel that strong hand of God on you, you feel the angel wings fan your heart flames and you know...
We are really never alone. If we have faith. Christmas reminds us of how the purest and most beautiful things will return to us, if we are willing to let them back in our heart and homes.

Be not weary, be not timid. Live fully this day and the days to come. For through my experience you will only regret the tears never the smiles.

Love to all
in Great Faith in Christ

Desiderata by American writer Max Ehrmann (1872-1945)

This is a Thankful themed post, that offers peace in the moment we realize that we can only control ourselves.

I was very lucky to have a Mother that understood my blue moods. She would say to me, Desiderata, and I would wonder what she meant. Until the day finally came when she bought me the book by American writer Max Ehrmann (1872-1945). I needed to read it only once to connect with it, and the release was instant. I placed a copy in the bathroom. Nostalgic bathroom poetry isn't glamorous, or expensive, it merely brings you honesty in a place where it is easier to be that way.

Here is a copy widely known for its "over copied" usage. I have purchased this book several times, it is easy to find.

Take care my friends.

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful.

Strive to be happy

What is beautiful ?

Does beauty have its way with you?
Looking at flowers for me is love at first sight, I just have to see them to know I love them...people unlike flowers, have so much more than what we see. So many of us can hide deep secrets, scars, and experiences that color our view of life and those hidden details make us who we are. But how can you really hide how you feel inside forever ?

I watch people all day at work, I watch how they interact with me and I am fascinated with all the unique and wonderful people out there. Part of my job is to give them the help they need and I listen to their point of view, without saying too much about my view. That's my job, listening. Caring for people on pain, so sad how much pain and suffering is out there. Sometimes I just want to take a break, from it- when it's my time - but I can't just - leave. I have to take care of them before me.
I just keep going.
I'm used to this - its part of who I am. I've been in customer service all my life, won awards for it and even trained others with it. Being a mom demanded it, and so does love... When the caretaker needs taking care of, I go to my friends. I find peace in places of familiarity; a drive, a hug, a view, or a soak in the tub. Music helps, a good restaurant a night out. But, for some reason nothing seems to cure my pain, these days. A friendly face can distract me, but since I am being honest here, without love my life is cold and colorless.

With a heavy head I'm tired, I find my rest my retreat. I'm too exhausted to find time to love anyone includimg me. Sometime I think- if I could take that blue pill-just forget... This isn't the matrix and the wrong one's are chasing me that I want to turn around for.

Until I find him I'll not waste my life in sadness.

It's true what they say though. You can't buy love. In fact we are slave to love, we think, live and run for it and from it. It's a word I used to use loosely and no longer do so. It's true, we love not only that which is beautiful or nice, love hurts and you cannot escape that-no matter how hard you try.
I am no expert on love, because I think there isn't a formula for it, or a secret to it. I think you are never truly seeing it with eyes that see, it really does blind you. You don't get smarter with it, because the drug it creates only makes you want more. And beauty blinds you us with love, as you love you believe beauty is at hand.
The Beatles said its all you need, the Doobie Brothers say without it- where would you be now? And Chris Isaak thinks that he never wanted to fall into it... As long as there are people there will be love, and even beauty. It's not a fiction or science book- its as real as the flowers and just as fragile.

I'm sending you a great big hug for reading this, and if you really care respond to this with a beautiful caring word. I promise you, I'll love it.

Grace.

Peace.
