Daily Scribbles and thoughts, I bring the GOOD NEWS!

In the not so distant past we all wrote letters to eachother, then there was the phone ring ring ring..., and then we figured out how to FAX, sort of. Now we have email, and all the social networking sites of various types, we call this the information age! I would just like to be the place for some inspiration and good news, I love to keep in touch- please feel free to comment- back!

Happy Easter! Well almost!

I love to say that, Happy Easter? What comes to mind when I say that? Blue-girl would say PEEPS, and egg hunts, Nolan thinks, do I have to Acolyte? I think of the stories my Mother said about being in Greece during Easter week, and the non-stop celebrations, the photos below are hers, those are amazing images of what Greek traditions are like.

Tradition is another word for family memories, it's another way to remember the best of times. My Photographic memories remind me of being the young grandchild to Teen and Marion, and the glorious days at Grandma's house, in pictures I can still see it. But my mind remembers the aroma of cooking hams and turkeys, the colorful dresses and the smiles, and the hugs and the flowers spreading there perfume over the room. A table with newspapers strewn on it, and a sampler of dried fruit, and a box of See's candy. My hand can not stop picking out the little forks to taste the sweet dates and apricots and prune, round i go through each dried fruit, until I feel I have eaten my allotment, but not enough to be notable, hopefully. Little Turkey place cards with the names written on them, used over and over from days so far back, you wish you knew how long, but I loved thinking , I am at the big people table. And of course all the relatives, came, all of them. We had people coming and going most the day, but as many as we had, we never argued, always laughed and not a minute of TV was watched. No football games, no strong words, just peace among the peoples, and everyone at their peak of talented socialism. I said that word, oh dear, well I see what has happened, now, we cant say much, without being caught in a web of words that are taken out of context, and thrown into the political fights.

Today, we can only remember how great that day was, back when we had perfect socialism, among the people. If there are enough of us, who do remember it, we can pray that it returns to us and in the future, we are the grandparents that host and hostess the tables that all come to eat love and pray, for the children to learn how to do this for themselves in their houses, with their children. Take photos, dress up, sing songs in Church and search for eggs, but praise the Lord for His life and His mercy on us, thankfully, we have one consistent reminder of what peace looks like, that needs no words; in the time of great confusion, mistaken words and images judge by looks alone, one thing is real, His tradition still remains, the one strong and lasting leader, Jesus The Christ, Lord of all. He's coming to my very small family get together, Alleluia~!
