Monday school starting blues

I really thought I was going to be tough today, I knew I could be just fine watching those kids run off to their futures,.. leaving me behind.

It was a day like so many others, get up early, make coffee toast and eggs, talk and make lunches, but today, we are ripe with anticipation for a new season of learning.  We are ready to burst with the thought of being back on the path of learning, and I was fine all along, not once did I worry, enough socks, enough folders, paper, pencils, not once did I nag, let me fix your hair,... not this time, no input is needed here.  I got out the camera, and I tried to save the moments, that I know are just speeding by, but I get hands, and hair and the blur of the fast moving teenager.

Yesterday, I was enjoying buying lunches for kids, and I said to a stranger who was near by, "Can I buy a lunch-able for a High School kid?"  He laughed and said, "You have High School kids, poor thing, I was just enjoying the fact I did not have to buy any school clothes! "  I never did find out his opinion of the Lunch-ables, but they give that - I love you but not enough to dote upon you with a home-made lunch , like I am such a busy mom, I just don't have time.. Lunch-ables aren't "hot-pockets" but they are probably a close cousin!  Best part about Lunch-ables, they come in that-- super strong sealed package, inside a cardboard--packing box, that even a teen-ager with a skateboard could not destroy!

..I really do enjoy the lunch thing, its like a treasure hunt, you search for the perfect food to put into a back pack that may or may not ever make it to your child's mouth,.. and then if they do open it-, it could be as good as gold if you are starving or-- as dull as sand, if its  smashed into oblivion.  Grapes are still growing in abundance in our back yard, big sweet, Thompson seedless grapes, juicy and delightful for a hot day.  I picked about 100$ worth yesterday, was happy to have those for lunches today, if all else fails you know you can feel full with a few grapes.

But the packed lunch is like the care package for the homeless, it signifies the separation from the source.  And no matter how much we send them off with great thoughts, and great anticipation's, and affirmations, nothing prepares you for the faces of kids on the first day.  They have a universal look of fear, like what am I buying into?  Who ever said that mass learning was comfortable, and for the faces of the little kids, that I see outside my front door, its the usual face of ," Mom, I am not so sure, about this,...stay with me!"  Those little ones, that say stay with me, walk with me, hold my hand, and then they go to, don't kiss me, drop me off, and then finally its-- I love ya -- bye!  And you are sure, you are not any older, you can't be that much older, but they seem so much older now.

Looking at our little kids, we dressed them up, and we picked out back packs and we let them enjoy the fun, but as they get to teens, they do all the picking out and the fixing of the hair, and finally they come out of their rooms looking someone elses child!  You think =0
what is that, and how did you get your hair to do that?  I know I did not buy you that, and they say," Yea isn't this great my friend gave it to me"  or better yet, they take some piece of clothing from you -- and barely like it, and the next time you see it, its cut up into a totally different outfit, pinned and sewed and placed to have some meaning it never intended!  You never would thought of that... How do these teens get so creative with their clothes and hair, I did not think there was more ways to frustrate parents.

Ah, but the beauty of the day shines through too. And we can be proud to see our youth experiencing the timeless rights of passage like "Senior classes" and  incoming new Freshman. Without a doubt the American kids have the first day of school down to a religious experience full of of faith and hope, universally dressed  in Levi's Blue jeans, and t-shirts with cool logos, and the best pair of sneakers you can afford.  That one consistent thread is comforting, knowing we can always count on something to stay the same--brings us back to recognizing the pattern of circles of the seasons,  that consistent path we walk, the same paths we walked , our children walked and our grandchildren will walk.  They might have bright blue hair, and some other kind of unnatural diversion, but inside there are the same kids we were.  Happy to be on their way--
  Good day all!

Godspeed!

Letters

I have to pay the rent....

We have to pay the bills...

We have to pay attention..

We pay the piper...

Nothing in life is guarunteed but death and taxes...

Enjoy it now, Pay later...

Payments....

Payment plans....

paid off...

pay up, pay down, pay out, pay back, pay as you go, pay for..

Word History: Given the unpeaceful feelings one often has in paying bills or income taxes, it is difficult to believe that the word pay ultimately derives from the Latin word pāx, "peace." However, it is not the peace of the one who pays that is involved in this development of meaning. From pāx, meaning "peace" and also "a settlement of hostilities," was derived the word pācāre, "to impose a settlement on peoples or territories." In Late Latin pācāre was extended in sense to mean "to appease." The Old French word paiier that developed from Latin pācāre came to have the specific application "to pacify or satisfy a creditor," a sense that came into Middle English along with the word paien (first recorded around the beginning of the 13th century), the ancestor of our word pay.

One word so many meanings and forms, and idioms.  We ourselves find our own translation for our own use of words, each day I will see that change as our world changes.

I will use the words I have for better than a pacifier, I hope that we know, as Christ said--

God's Word sets us free; it does not bind us to traditions and meaningless rhetoric; it liberates us into joy and contentment; it brings out our best and gives us purpose and real, authentic meaning. The application of this is in how we control what we say and do, as we are called to do. Our words reflect what is in our heart as do our actions. Serving the needy is our character and maturity in action.

Vs. 26-27: These are the principle verses for us as sincere, authentic Christians who are responsible to do something with our Christian life. We are not called to just be pretty; rather, we are called to get dirty! This is implied in all that we do and believe (Prov. 19:17).

·        Does not bridle his tongue. God calls us to control our words (Psalm 141:3; Prov. 10:19; 16:24; Matt. 5:9; 12:34; Eph. 4:29)! We are not to divorce our tongue from our mind and heart!

teach with your payment in the good words to others..

BATMAN wanted...

With all that this country is doing now, a BATMAN, would sure be welcome, until then, does "today's ROCK music" still have the voice of revolution and the power to create another "Woodstock", or is it just a way to to separate the generations. Now is the time, for an awakening, Music is the language we all understand.

Or is it? I know I am feeling old when, I start to hear a band my kids like, and I think, that's just not music. Or oh dear, what is this world coming too... I might as well get out my knitting!

I was in a club, looking for Ashley, and it really dawned on me, I am old to these people! And worse, I do not get this music. I was sitting there, and when I finally talked to a couple of the kids, I joked about telling them the last musicians, I had met. They did look at me like, okay lady...I dont even want to try to --be cool...

When I listen to the radio , I do get tired of some of the same old stuff, and I love to hear music that is in Movies, the soundtrack people are amazing! My mother knows all the good music, shes always telling me to listen to this artist, or that song, shes great! I love that, and I can always trust my Jazz, or my classical. But, why do we have to get old? Some people seem to never grow up, mature and get dull, ever notice they don't have any kids either...people say kids keep you young, I doubt that!

I love my family, and don't get me wrong, I would always want to be with them, but we all have a different choice for music, especially ASH and NOL, even though they humor me with some of the "older" songs they know I like. Music gets me through some tough times and I often need the uplift of a good acoustic melody-- for healing. Life as a musician must be difficult, so much to take in, I wonder of congress, or politicians think the same way.

Inside all of us, is our song, and we all need to dance to our own music, some of us dance slow and some of us dance-- in a square, and some of us boogie-- if we cant find ways to "get together and feel alright", there is surely a revolution on the horizon, and it wont be, the have and have nots, it will be the old ways against the young change--- I sure hear it every day in the people I meet-- and the elderly are the most outraged!

I just have one song, and I will put it on the link at the top==="alice's restaurant..." if your too young to know it, take a minute to listen, if your old enough to know it and have to say something unkind...its not too late to change your mind....

BATMAN: wanted to save the music, and the people.....

update

Ashley update:
My Opinion:myspace does not know much about service or children's protection.

Its been 8 Days, Ashley has logged in everyday, and yet they have yet to do one thing to tell anyone where she is.  Today, when I asked them for the IP address they refused to give it to me and said the police had to give it to me, the supervisor, claimed the police could have asked for it at any time, and no supena was needed; who lying the police or myspace?

warning this is true and shocking

I have a story that I never wanted to share--but I know the police will really enjoy this:

In 1993 I worked at the Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa, a beautiful place nestled in the hills , between Kenwood and Sonoma, I loved it. I met and talked to and Harrison Ford on the very first day of work.  The second day, I did wine event for the Knights of the Vine the oldest and largest wine makers in the USA, and the third was the first of many Sonoma Wine Auctions, were I assisted in  sales of more than a million dollars  of goods-for children's charity.

A stellar job, with the rich and lovely.  In the background for this amazing place, to keep up with all the demands was more that 3 head chefs, just in this one Banquet Dept. But there are three restaurants all together, dozen of trained chefs, but one woman-- one woman head chef.   I wont use her name, because she would not want me to, I will call her Chef Jane, for this story.

See Chef Jane lived just outside Kenwood, the property she owned was large and bordered on the towns of Petaluma and Kenwood.  It's a very wealthy community, and well known for its tourists and wine and schools and food, and soon it would be know for the missing child Polly Klaas.

I would drive down the road past her property to go home each night, and pass the evening shadows, but one night i felt something aweful in my heart, as I do when I just know something is not right. I felt some dark shadow pass through me, call it intuition, but this was sadness... I went home and prayed, and in the morning it was on the news,  young girl missing from the window of her house....

What did anyone do?  What would you do?  Your child is missing...

People looked for many many days...but she did not show up..Chef Jane became more and more upset, she knew what she asked the Police to do , but no one listened to her.  After a month passed, Chef Jane-- said, now I have to go and look for myself... and it turned out as she worried it would, she was devasted--she had to testify, she had to find this herself?...That was when the truth came out.....

You see-
Chef Jane, called the police the night the missing girl was reported, and reported a unwanted car and a man on her prop.  You know what the police told her, basically that-- she was in an odd area and they weren't sure what police station should answer....She said there is a strange man and a girl on my land!! Please...then they said-- " YOU crazy woman, if you are so afraid take your GUN and look yourself...."

I believe her.

Polly Klaas died because no one would listen to Chef Jane and worse the information was so lost--that when the police came accross the car and the guy, they let him go!  Polly was just a few feet from the car and the police did not even know.

THIS CHANGED EVERYTHING WHEN CHEF JANE SUED THE POLICE....AND PETALUMA was never the same.  Do people make mistakes, yes?  Do people have the right to expect the police to care? yes-- and could this have ended better--

definitely!

What did we learn? The events that happened changed the lives of every single person, that knew her, loved her, and even heard of her.  Chef Jane could not live in her house ever again, she was murdered that night too.

From this debacle of Polly, her father fought hard to make LAWS on sharing information about missing teens, and it is to protect the child.  Police no longer hold onto missing teen reports in one city, they must share and they must tell all neighboring cities, and from that day forward, we realized, that people do break in houses, and take innocent girls right out of their beds.  It made us all, start thinking of crime in a whole new way.

Polly never did anything to deserve it, she was a perfect child, and more than beautiful and sweet she was young.  Her life is one that will never be forgotten, but as you might like to know, that MYSPACE knows nothing about it. They dont share information about missing children, they not only dont care to help the parents they enable any child to find other teens and runaway. My experience with my missing child, is that they make up stories, and even contradict what they say to the police.  They make a choice they can be heros, but they silenced me, but not talking to me.  I have effectively no parental control over my child on myspace as soon as I reported my child missing, even though they told me they would help me if I did.

I can report my credit card stolen and have the people who use it arrested, and put in jail, but I cant ask MYSPACE to help me find my missing child who uses myspace everyday...

Its a law that you cannot abuse or exploit children, but children can post naked photos of themselves, contact adults and sell their soul online--and MYSPACE doesnt stop this.

Frontline television is more effective in catching child molesters on myspace than the Police.

My next door neighbor turned out to be a molester-- and we live across the street from a elementary school.

What do we need to know before we stand up and pull the plug on the demise of the mind --any-ones mind, this web space is not free speech, this is not me trying to be right wing self-righteous, this is me-- one person-- just like Chef Jane, will you call me crazy and wait for death?  I sure hope not.

Everyday log in addcitions?~ ENOUGH ALL READY!

STOP THE LIES! Warning--- MYSPACE LIES! This is my belief, that there are things that we don't allow, and that line is crossed when the rights of adults are squashed.

Is this really happening in the USA, is there an open web site that is not responsible for anything it posts? Is it possible in this great country that children are allowed to lie about their ages, just to advertise the daily drama? Or make their life into daily drama? Can they really privately advertise the daily problems true or not, to anyone who they feel, and lock out the Adults in their life who take care of them?

YES it is true, and if your Teen is doing it, the truth is, there is not one individual that can protect you from your name being libeled printed and there is often no way to even know that it is being done!

I have recently learned that if your Teen is using, MYSPACE for sex, drugs, or runaway schemes you cannot be allowed to see the information that would lead you to the people involved. According to our RPD, not once has this city allowed anyone to revoke a password to be able to help find missing children, except for one TIME where the teen claimed to be KIDNAPPED. NOT FOR ANY OTHER REASON! IN ANY CASE!

But everyday, teens are logging in and they are sending messages and using this free site for "entertainment" while the law enforcement, runs in circles to (obviously ~ not effectively) find missing and exploited children. YOU might think they would want to find them, and you might think that there would be a good reason to do it, but according to our RPD, its never a real EMERGENCY>>>

WHEN IS A RUNAWAY NOT AN EMERGENCY?
Does death of a runaway qualify?
Because who's to blame when the teen dies?

Children can cause all sorts of pain to the parents by threats to run away. It is very common now for parents to say that, there is no way to discipline children, not without hearing that they children have been conditioned to think that their freedom is being impaired. What freedom do parents have if they have children? We gave up our freedom when we had the baby, and then the child learns to wield the weapon of the law at the parents, this really is the sign of the times.

The plague of unethical times has come to fruition, and you too are sucked into it, I too have a myspace, but I thought it made me -- more informed...it might as well have made me a parental psychopath, for caring enough to subject myself search for my child withing the pages of crude and lascivious things that kids easily say and do. There is a place where you can act like a slut, lie like the devil, claim to do your best to impede others future by buying into their Phony Persona, and feed your delusional teen, and the majority of kids--- think that's cool.

UNLESS SOMEONE LIKE YOU, CARES A WHOLE LOT, THINGS WONT CHANGE, THEY WILL NOT. Theodore Geisel ( Dr. Suess)

Here's to all the broken hearted parents who's kids found a way to live out in the big world; be brave and remember, its not what you say, its what you do. The dog barks, he cannot do much else, we do more than bark, we make the laws, and the laws are ours.

What person has not seen the great fable of Pinocchio? This amazing and beautiful movie created by the genius of Walt Disney, clearly shows an image of how we are taken off the path of our lives and easily drawn to do the crimes for others, due to our need for money and the lure of being accepted into the "ADULT WORLD". Over and over in the movie it becomes apparent that the world is full of phony people, and that lives are changed forever when they do not stay on the right road.

ONCE YOU GO DOWN THE PATH OF THE DARK SIDE, FOREVER DOES IT CHANGE YOUR DESTINY. Yoda, explaining Darth Vader to Luke , from "The Empires Strikes Back"

I was published in the Barnes and Noble Executive Training manual for writing what was an effective essay on the story of " Little Red Riding Hood", the ancient fable of how a girl in her prime is taken off her path by the wolves and eaten alive. This story has been done in every format, from movies to cartoon, to plays. The Wolf in darker times, came with a full MALE anatomy, and the girls red robe, represented her feminine cycle. Her ability to create life, and her mother and her grandmother being the circle of the right to life. Her responsibility to this. Thanks to an encounter, with a good BN customer that, told me about it, I was astounded at my new gift of knowledge. I was even more amazed that not 30 minutes later, that night I would be referring to the priceless information for another mother, who was concerned about her daughter's child. It was a revelation, and one that impressed the most well read scholars. I too knew it would forever remain with me; HERE I am , fighting like red riding hood, to kill the wolves, its going to take more than an AXE to get this company, for they have made there minions, and it wont be MYSPACE that will revolt, it will be the addicts. Once again I ask you, are children in charge? Can't we ever say no to them?

I don't believe that the rights of those who are working hard to take care ,protect and educate children should be able to be ruined by the hands of the predatory minds, created by and with the computer, feeding the dark imaginings of the teen mind. This is a recipe for more than anyone can control. This is where FACE BOOK is better, you can see the information, move forward, and people judge you and correct you and possibly hold you accountable. But if we allow MYSPACE to break the rules, many will follow.

MYSPACE should be reduced to WHAT IT DOES BEST, Music only, and PROFESSIONAL~ Entertainment,
;Rights are not just for children, we adults worked hard for centuries to make this world free -- but not to be tossed into the fire by children who cause undue stress on parents, who are trying to have some kind of wholesome discipline, or punish this dangerous~ ONLINE behavior.

This is my belief, that there are things that we don't allow, and that line is crossed when the rights of adults or squashed.

I say enough! NOT one more day, of this! FIGHT TO END~this war on children, give Adults the right to see and have complete access to anything their children do on MYSPACE or shut them down. HOLD MYSPACE accountable to the same crimes that would put a NEWSPAPER WRITER IN JAIL, OR A THREATENING PERSON IN PRISON. Free speech or slander, right to expose yourself and sell false images or just plain LIBEL? we know better and its time we said ENOUGH!!

Don't wait until you experience what we are-- write the congressman or woman and say-- ENOUGH OF MYSPACE LIES

we always have a choice

We always have a choice...Does that ring a bell or what! No one can say they haven't heard that, no one-  and yet it is so easy to see that many of our choices are being made for us.
Our species needs, and deserves, a citizenry with minds wide awake and a basic understanding of how the world works.
Carl Sagan
I will enjoy using the television example, because this is the most common choice that I think, we let get away from us.  We take our tiny amount of free time, and push a button, then in some way or another, just let it talk and talk and talk, we cant talk back, and most of it- has commercials that we turn off, and then we wait and wait, for another show to come on and  then what fall asleep?  Those of you that have tivo, and just watch what you program, ok your getting closer, and  I am sure, now almost everyone knows how to program the DVR, but what choices do we have really?  I mean, canned TV, do we know what we are missing?  I choose not to pay for sat, or cable, and when I visit family I often find myself, just checking all the channels to see what am I missing...AH nothing!

I cant find anything -I cant get from Netflix, when I want it, I don't have to --program, or wait or save, its just there.  About every show there is on the net for free, what you cant get on-line-- you can order from Netflix.  My windows Vista has a built in program, called Windows Media Center, that has free tv! so much--to choose from! when I go to see the news, I can browse it like an on-line news paper. I can read the headlines, get the images, and then after a few minutes - I am done.  Really, its not that we are convinced that we don't have the choices, I am convinced that we have so many choices that now we like them being made for us. Isn't that true, people who just complain about things and don't care to fix them....lol, well sadly its easier to let ourselves think, well we can't do anything about, the economy the government, or the healthcare, because well---unless your an elected official, your really not in charge, and no one really cares--about my opinion.  News shows can debate and talk and broadcast and educate, the facts, and radio can make us disurbingly aware of the problems, we know that we get upset, but does it really change anything to just --talk about it?  My Father says, vote with your feet, and as difficult as this is, it is a very effective way of not only choosing but ultimately, if we all made the effort could be astoundingly effective.  Not a protest, not a stomp  your feet, throw out your tea, or sign a web form, I am saying, stop funding things that dont make sense! And be the change you want to see!  Don't expect others to stop, just make the wave by being the effective doer! you can choose to be the bumper sticker and talk or you can bump! and take a few on the chin for the team.

So many comments, like hows that Obama thing working out, or we should all stop this country from going down hill, I have to say, if you actually think that one man can put it down the tubes, then you really don't understand American Choices.  As long as we are on the subject of the men who do things to this country who are supposed to be in charge, we can all point fingers backwards, and that not going to fix much either, what I see now, is a lot of sore losers!  When did it become ok, to just terrorize everyone because your team lost?  No wonder we are in such a mess, doesn't anyone want to stop taking sides and start getting along? But this is the essence of the USA, are we running out of room, or just patience?
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
Theodor Geisel

I have been analyzing the new movie Transformer's alot! And the analogies that they used to make us--pro-war. If you thought you could choose to be at peace when you went in there, your mind will change, they did an awesome job-- changing my mind.  I think that the best part that did it for me was when they decide to go to the Smithsonian Museum, and you see all the historic war planes, and the USAF is simply awesome!  --anyway they go to see if they can find some help from the other "Primes". They find an old "plane" bring one back to life, and at first they are terrified at the prospect that they brought back the wrong side, and they all run in fear. Until, it becomes obvious that this is not a bad guy, and when the ask him why hes not a bad guy anymore, he says, "We all have a choice" , and he makes it clear that the team to be on is the one that fights for the little guys! Because, the worst thing is to be with are those that want control of everyones choices...  I know that sounds basic, but take the case of another movie that quite graphically points out a choice.  You see, in the comic  Hell-boy, he knows what he is programed for, he knows what he is made to do, he cant help but see it -- everyday he has to file down his horns, because he is the key to destruction.  But in the end, he knows, that he can still make that choice to be different that what he is programed to be, to not be this evil destructive key, but to become aware of the power that is the choice, and that is far more impressive and valuable for him than anything that would permanently change the world, away from freedom and choice.
We're a nation of laws, but the good thing about America, is that laws reside in the people and people can change the laws.
Rick Warren

See, we all can give into the power that we think is "meant to be" because we are afraid, or  be cruel with our words in the spur of the moment-- because it just doesn't matter-no one is watching-or worse, we can let others make the choices for us, by never really fighting back.  Except that, it seems to me, that would be the greatest loss of all!  For I have learned that the people that have changed the world for the better, not only over came great obstacles of fear, health and even poverty, but also, I can list Disney, Lucas, Coppola, and Lassiter that had to look people in the face over and over and hear, your work isn't any good, and no one will like it. Art is one thing, but what about our forefathers when people said, well America is just too hard to tame, too many obstacles, who wants to farm anyway.  The mistakes with the Indians were made for us, we did not choose those, if we had done it, we would never have taken that shot---just like so many others, today, that are making the mistakes for us, and we sit and wait like we watch it on TV, and never get up and do anything about it.
Far more crucial than what we know or do not know is what we do not want to know.
Eric Hoffer

When was the last time-- you wrote congress and said your peace, about anything?  I hope you know who represents you, when was the last time you even knew what issues are worth fighting for, or is the battle already lost?
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.
Bill Cosby

When did we lay down our greatest weapons, our ability to debate and discuss, for the plague of simply being angry all the time, at the choices that are being made for us?  Our children that are in public schools,  they are loosing the choices we had in school, not because we are not paying out taxes, or that we are dying from the war or plagues or famine, no here in the USA, we made our choices, we voted- to have bigger city halls, bigger roads and bigger jails, rather than--fight back to find someone who is an architect of modern education.  Why do we have modern buildings that will hold, expensive designed furniture and televisions, and computers, and probably forgetting that if we dont watch out to save--the water and electricity, there is no building, that will be saving anyone.

I wanted this to be a little article on how we make good choices each day, and that we are quite blessed to have the modern choices we see all around us, in food, cars and our entertainment.  But more and more, I see that the 80 -20 rule overlaps into all aspects of life.  *80 percent of us rely on about *20 percent to do the choices.  This is a fact and I dont see it changing anytime soon, unless we really have to have to change, we like our comfort; Let other people do it....or we can be more like the angels we depend on to do miracles-  see this ten ways to be an angel  http://www.beliefnet.com/Inspiration/Angels/2008/09/Top-10-Be-an-Angel.aspx?p=3

I am sure you can think of something!Saint Augustine said: It was pride that changed angels into devils; it is humility that makes men as angels.
I hope you are well, and you can write me a comment, on what you think about being an angel by choice...

Blessings-- and love-

Grateful Life Passages

Time passages, a song that I can hear like an ear worm, by AL STEWART; buy me a ticket on the last train home tonight...
I can hear that tune, and it puts me right, its just one of the songs for me. Time has a way of healing, even the most broken heart, I know, but I also know that it can make us forget the best things as well.
In order to keep our mind and our hearts healthy, we need to revisit the childhood people that brought us through life, we recognize the way they carried us, and we love them. The simpliest act of listening and visiting someone can change the day for both of you, and time seems to pass differently, it does not start and stop with night and day, it does not seem to have boundries of the clock, we can remember things that can take us back to a day , when we were absolutely different people. This can be difficult, and it can be uncomfortable, but it is cleansing and always forgiving. No matter what you think about your past, you are the only one that sees it your way. You can carve it stone forever, and live in a cave, hiding from your past or write a book about it, or you can choose to rewrite what is the only life you really have.
I recently watched the story of WALT DISNEY , what an amazing story, full of leadership and real commitment to his family, but he had his historical oposition, and in the beginning of his career, he also had his artwork stolen. I believe we all have our artwork stolen, to some degree, and we can so choose to be scorned, or we can learn from it, and be better for it. If Disney had not been able to move forward from his issues, we would not have many great ideals for artist today, starting with residual royalties, trademarked names, and yes, Disneyland. Which I know some do not like, but did you know he alsmost put it in Portland Oregon? Think about that! ALso that his own Mother parished in his big house, from a gas leak? What did he have to do , to forgive himself for that? I can now understand the symbolic death in every movie he had, the passing of a parent is by far the most devastating thing to endure. Children are supposed to go first, as they say, but sometimes, this is reversed as well, and in the case of the famous it can be the most unfair expose of peoples free speech, impeeding others freedom.
Time passages: "Well I'm not the kind to live in the past, the years run to short and the days too fast, the things that you lean on are the things that don't last,"~ I am grateful for every moment and love the family that I have been so lucky, blessed and honored to have, its never too late to become another person, as we say in my family....turn into a 9 year old hindu boy, or maybe "something more", be the architecht of your life, and design the place where you live. Its all up to you.
Time passages.....

Oregon travel

I love to take a drive, I long for the open roads and the new sights. Oregon, is apart of the family fabric-with its bustling cities, and its regal rural nature...returning to nature straightens the wrinkles in my closet of thouhgtful worries. Nevermind the economy,Oregon is bigger, busier, better than I have seen it-ever...photos to come...

My thoughts are always with you be well, and keep in touch.

*/Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of  Cleveland , Ohio| /**/ /*/

To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me.

It is the most-requested column I've ever written.
My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once
more:// //

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and
parents will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their
journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God
never blinks.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one
is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no
for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie.
Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words  - In five years,
will this matter?

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you
did or didn't do.

35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative of dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's,
we'd grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

42. The best is yet to come.

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

44. Yield.

45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.

Cooperation expects much, demands all and gives up everything.

Once in a lifetime...it will only happen once...
that was a funny song that I once sang, back in the day..OK now I know what that means, it means I am telling a story and "back in the day" is code for-- stop listening...according to miss manners . I can laugh at this, but the truth is, most of the problems I face are due to my past upbringing, and experiences. I am much like the most of the over thirty something, now forty-something people, either in two classes, over educated or undereducated.
I am one of those that has, plenty of experience, but not enough certificates to show for it. It comes off as character, or worse people think your have too much personality to get along with. I have seen this over and over, with some that do not agree with you, you think its going to nourish you and you get ready to dig in deep. Sadly, its not what you expected, once you get there and see, it's not at all what you knew it should be like. It's like pouring out milk to drink, and not knowing its spoiled until after it is in your mouth, and that odd flavor, and then the reality that its going down the drain. Dumping out old things is fine if you have plenty to spare, if there is so much that you just cant use it all , but it's a much different story when its slim pick-ens... Today fear of war, and the economy is the dark knight that cuts deep into the pockets of all, worry cuts deeper into our sleep patterns, and weaves itself into our lives through our faces when we look at those around us with disdain. Wasting what was once things that were really great, is just that a waste. Unused abilities are no less of a shame than the lack of them; the ripest of fruit hangs on the tree, until it is finally eaten by birds or falls to the ground to poison the tree with rotten worms. Is it better to just hang on and try then to let go, and become waste? Fruit like beauty is in the taste and the eye of the beholder. I have seen entire trees laden with fruit, that no one had even picked, just turning to syrup on the dirt, why even have a tree that fruits if you don't eat it? It should be an agreement, to take care of that tree when you buy it, to enjoy the fruits or find someone who will. Letting it waste should be unlawful, and cause others who take it, to not a thief. Where am I going with this? Well, as I sit here and write this, I meditate on the causes I have given myself unselfishly too, I ponder my existence, and I shutter to think that I may have lost that once in a lifetime chance to put in roots with an employer that has long since passed. My "lucky chance" as McCartney puts it, what would he be doing if he never tried to just play music? he can't read it, and does not even want to --He cooperated with himself to bring himself thus far, and no one could take that away. Personality, yes, and what is better, appreciated for it. So what is going on ...

Once in a lifetime, you can expect disaster, but to me this economic hurricane took on a new level when it ate up not only houses, but business, and basically the entire state of California, with its teachers and schools and jobs and worse children. Once, it should only happen once, we keep saying that, then our cars companies start to dissolve and then our parks go unwatched, and then we all of sudden realized we are never going to be a democratic state, or a republic without a civil revolt from either side. Retirement is an anomaly for anyone not working for a top ten fortune 500 company, or the Fed. GOV, that is odd... Civilization as we knew is turning upside down. Life was we once knew it, is changing all right, and there are some very sore losers who are willing to be right at any ones expence, when no one wants to cooperate, then what do we have? Are there problems here or personality differences? Is congress, the government, and big business working for cooperative USA or are they --acting like old fruit? Are they hanging on to something that is not tasteful, or are they being wasted and over looked? Is it cooperation, or corruption?

Cooperation problems are not unique, over and over, not just once, the same problems over and over. See how we watch the world ,and see countries, tribes and religions doing the same things over the centuries, a constant circle of social patterns in either cooperation or coruption.

Cooperation is a term that is so easy to understand, and yet so often ignored. Unless your talking about kindergarten or your volunteer team at church, your version of cooperation becomes tainted when money is involved. The amount of a persons worth, it is determined by how much that they have to cooperate, and the less they have to cooperate the more they are likely they are to be paid well or be in power of something really important, for real control of anything suggest complete power, and well complete power leads to curruption. As you go down the totem pole, the reality is, cooperation is duly for the lower classes, the mass and the underpaid.

Cooperate, when you have to save your company and sell out, cooperate and gain money from government, cooperate and get a great job. But try to be you, try to have some standards, try to bring your values and morals about anything with you when you come, and now, your not cooperating. Now your just a liberal, or maybe your a Christian, or the opposite, you just don't want to adhere to any standards and that too can be corrupting. Names are only ways to control people, they put us in a place to be judged and that is corruption, generalities can offer cooperation. Say people-- not controlling edge marking names that separate us. We the people, in order to form.. It wasn't we the Christians, or the blacks or whites or left or right, it was PEOPLE!

Balance can arrive when both parties are willing to see the moment of change and allow a little from both sides to remain, the best of both worlds. Once in a lifetime you can achieve such balance, but its not going to happen everyday. It may only happen once, do not be surprised if once it has , it just isn't going to happen again soon. If we are going to survive, we will have to have change--cooperate, that would be a change.

Let's take stock, my own circumstances depend on my cooperation, and if I was in a better financial standing my leverage ability would be greater, more would want to cooperate with me, but since I am not I must cooperate with everyone else. Thus in the economic realm, it is the same, the more you have, the better the applicants for cooperation remain, but the lack of financial growth directly effects my ability to get cooperation, and apply for it. If this is named socialism, then we all run away, if it is generalized as cooperation, then it can work against curruption. HAVE AND HAVE NOTS REMAIN...THIS IS in a state of capitalistic freedom, I would still see the chance for growth in new business with those that are much the same as me, self starters and driven dreamers. But if I was convinced that i lived somewhere that I had too much government and not enough business, I might still want to buck conventionality and fight for what I believe in just to be able to create my own freedoms.

My life depends greatly on others, and cooperation is something I do strive for, all though its not the lack of if that keeps me out of the lime light. It is usually my own hand, or head, I can sometimes not even cooperate with MYSELF, strange as that sounds, its often true. I just hate it when , I am sure I can get so much done for me and it turns out -- my life had a different idea. Or, the time when I was so gungho to exercise and run, and get out and we had three months of smoke filled days during the summer of 2008. What a disappointment that was! My mother always emphasized the ability to deal with your problems well, is far more important that the problems themselves. But that never stayed with me long, I fall down and sometimes enjoy sitting there for awhile, taking a rest. When I get up, I am never quite the same, and I know that I dwell on it long after. I give it to God, I try to let go, and even strive to get past it. That is almost uncooperative with-- the choices that befall me. Uncooperative, with what is not good for us, that is like excess in control. And good luck with that. That is uncooperative with depression or anger or sugar or conventionality? See, there is the dilemma, at one point we are saving ourselves, then the line is blurred, to me its freedom and to you its just annoying. And the richest person or company can still be frivolous, and distasteful, so where do we hold our candle, what test can be the ultimate say. With the Bible we can quote many great phrases of knowledge, in fact there are countless antidotes of wisdom available pro or con the life we choose.

Its a question of peace, its the answer of living with ourselves, and our death can only judge. If you died today, would you regret doing or not doing something? Will you go to judgment with your secrets or satisfactions that you grew substantially in both body and mind, for yourself, and in the world. Did you really give it all you had to cooperate, and if you can say, yes, then I suppose your doing well. Once in a lifetime, it will only happen once, because it wont happen the same way, ever again. Cooperate or corrupt.

Your worst days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God's grace.

Your worst days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God's grace.

This is 'Faith'

This dog was born on Christmas Eve in the year 2002. He was born with 3
legs - 2 healthy hind legs and 1 abnormal front leg which need to be
amputated. He of course could not walk when he was born. Even his mother
did not want him..
His first owner also did not think that he could survive. Therefore, he wasthinking of 'putting him to sleep'.By this time, his present owner, Jude Stringfellow, met him and wanted totake care of him.She was determined to teach and train this dog to walk by himself. Therefore she named him 'Faith'

In the beginning, she put Faith on a surfing board to let him feel themovements. Later she used peanut butter on a spoon as a lure and rewardedfor him to stand up and jump around. Even the other dog at home helped toencourage him to walk. Amazingly, only after 6 months, Faith learned tobalance on his 2 hind legs and jumped to move forward. After furthertraining in the snow, he now can walk like a human being.

Faith loves to walk around now. No matter where he goes, he just attractsall the people around him.He is now becoming famous on the international scene. He has appeared onvarious newspapers and TV shows. There is even one book entitled 'With a little faith' being published abouthim. He was even considered to appear in one of Harry Potter movies

His present owner Jude Stringfellew has given up her teaching post andplans to take him around the world to preach that even without a perfectbody, one can have a perfect soul'.

In life there are always undesirable things. Perhaps one will feel betterif one changes the point of view from another direction.I hope this message will bring fresh new ways of thinking to everyone andthat everyone can appreciate and be thankful for each beautiful day thatfollows.Faith is the continual demonstration of the Strength of Life.A small request: All you are asked to do is keep this circulating

Your worst days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God's grace.
