Daily Scribbles and thoughts, I bring the GOOD NEWS!

In the not so distant past we all wrote letters to eachother, then there was the phone ring ring ring..., and then we figured out how to FAX, sort of. Now we have email, and all the social networking sites of various types, we call this the information age! I would just like to be the place for some inspiration and good news, I love to keep in touch- please feel free to comment- back!

Christmas spirit

I can't remember the last time I didn't feel like decorating for Christmas... I have enjoyed traditions ever since we moved into our house; lights on our outside noble fur tree, look so cute! The special handmade ornaments from my kids Sunday school, hung around the house and old handed down ornaments from when I was a very young child nestled into a little inside tree. I have faithfully watched over these precious items with love and tenderness, so that each year, they are as usable and full of memories as the ones before. It's always the memory of the years past that brings out their charms, and yet I feel I must protect them this year.
This year, I won't be trimming a tree, nor trying to improve my yard . I am sorry to say that i am far too worried about myself this year to care much about the joys of holiday decorations. It was fun to have colorful lights and sweet decorations, but somehow these little things on the outside can't make what wrong with the inside go away. Decorations won't fix our sad house. Gifts won't bring joy, for in these days more people than we realize are unemployed and unable to maintain what used to be the norm. It's cold outside, it's not fun to even imagine living without a decent home.

There is here. We are they, and it's one of the saddest Christmas' I can remember, it shocks and horrifies, I wish I had comfort for you. But often we learn from the worst of times, and we change and grow into new and different people, and move onto new places. Let's us not forget each-other- or our lives together, and our love we shared. It is all we ever really have.

If we can just see around the corner maybe it's better, but I'm still to afraid to look. There is no comfort for the homeless. Let us be good to those who have loved and lost, it is supposed to be better than not. A house is not the decorations on the outside. Lots of expensive lights? sure its pretty but some of us aren't fooled by
Pretty outsides.

Is it okay to be pretty when it's all falling apart? Pretty is as pretty does.
