Fw: Today's Prayers

I feel like  we are getting bombarded with problems these days
like were at bat, and no one asked if we were ready--
they pitches keep coming, and as soon as we look  away one hits us right in the head,
they get faster, they get curved
they get better and getting us to swing when we shouldn't

But then I remember-
 I am on Gods team
I have been training for this- day---I knew it would get tough- I knew I would have to use my knowledge
This is nothing new, I watched so many before me go through this same problems,

and you know when I summon up my courage, I know I am OK
and that is when I hit one --it goes right out of the park-

I smile, i feel the world smile, and the sun shines brighter-0-0
go ahead, --fire on at me
I might need  the practice--
 Go ahead-- pitch it!
I might need to learn to concentrate harder-
Pitch your best-- one-- life-give me your best -
I will like the opportunity- to learn-- I am going to NAIL IT!
 --
Because I am not going anywhere!!!!!!  Until my turn is up!
~ I am just one on this great team-
and after me --there is a line stronger - younger faster and they will stand in line forever to fight for the team...

I will take my turn at bat, I will not buckle, and when I get hit, I am not afraid---that is when I know!
I am the coach, and even on the sidelines I am a valuable part of my team.

I can --cheer, I can give the signals because I know many are watching and my team still depends on me.

There is a balance, after I have worked hard on the team, then I am the coach.

I teach with my actions, I teach with my stamina, I cant talk my way out anything, and there are no excuses.

But when I am good just when all the bases are loaded and it seems all could be lost, I am on FIRE!!  I love the chance
I set up to the plate, I focus, and !!connect!!---I get to RUN as hard as I can--

`until I get home.

SO go head run, RUN!  RUN LIKE YOUR TEAM DEPENDS ON YOU!!!
Because this is what you were made for!  And you know you can handle anything that crosses your plate.

(((HUGS))))

Welcome to 2009

What shall we find interesting to listen to, when we at this point think we have heard it all. Once it has become stated that we now know it all, and that no one may discuss topics of the day, as interest, but as reactions to the guffaw in what might be the biggest smite upon the faces of the ever-present stubbornest colony of the republican Obama haters.

Belonging to a pitchfork carrying colony of protesters will always sway your observers to wonder, what is this? And if your case is protested loudly and with enough vigor, all who must be forced to recon with you, but alas, how can we protest without one hand on the peace pot, the other with the spoon ready to reinforce the spin. Spin it your way, but it still needs a pot, it takes two, therefore what would you do with nothing to complain about? I for one will shy way away from our brethren in fierce combat for the belief that our enemy is our own. For who is really to say, such mutiny? I heard recently, in every success, someone must back down and fail, and let the others succeed. With grace, we should give faith a fighting chance.

Isn't it enough to just be who we are? When will it ever be enough? We like to imitate God, as pitiful humans, I have noticed. We tell ourselves we are as great, and we indulge our self in every favor that portrays us as divine beings. Some even tout that they can levitate, and read futures or bring cards out that tell stories of personal battles to come. This is not a show of Gods-gifted talents, because non shall brag. None of us, is free from the truth, none of us is as great as God , we cant make trees, or flowers, or butterflies or rain and certainly stars and galaxies are out of our real reach. We can look, and ponder, we cannot make something true. We can talk about it, study it and take it down to the DNA, but we cannot make it happen from nothing. We don't look at the dirt, take it in our hand, and say, today, I think I make...another species. And arguably those that do make "DNA creations", will be asked, is it from GOD?

If we knew our limitations, in the framework of what we see, and what we actually control, by simply being outwardly obtrusive, and painfully dictating, we ourselves would not be obedient to this kind of subversive torture. It is necessary to revive the basic faith in human nature, and the strength in kindness.

Your mother would be firm with you, if she was telling you not to touch the stove, but you would not believe her until you actually touched it and felt its unforgiving scar. That scar, you see, you feel and you don't forget, you don't blame the scar for that pain, and you don't think it just can be told to improve, and become different than what it is. The scars that have changed this country, remain, and are deeper than ever, some scars and burns are recent enough that when we look at them, we know, it was us that did this.

It was not that long ago, that we had such demeaning issues at the core of the USA, no one would have ever believed that a man of color, could be in the house that deserves and commands the respect of the entire world. It was not that long ago, that we did treat women, children, and races outside the look of white as second class citizens. These people are not just historic figures, they are still alive today, the can still share their stories and we don't shove them aside to appease ourselves. We don't pretend that the scar inflicted surely doesn't flinch, each and every time, if feels like might-or- we hit it over and over and over.

Isn't it enough to accomplish this --great country? Just to be here at all.... to sit in the arms of chairs where great men have sat, and know you are one of them. Not one of them was perfect, not one of them was loved by every man or every woman, and not one of them escaped the suffering inflicted so cruelly as to those who put themselves in public office, and fight for the people on the front lines of the public newspaper's, and now the instant messages of the Internet, and the ghastly comments sludging their way across the public forums , where real information meets, the crime of yellow journalism. Not unlike the youth in our military that enlist for the punishment of discipline in honor of our beloved flag, and its rights?

When will it be enough to know that it is our hope that keeps us alive? And that no matter what they do it, with what ever evil words they utter, or promises to hurt us, or destroyed places it is not but our own choice the leads us to our destiny. It is our money that we print, is still our greatest triumph of our men and women that brought us thus far, nothing can take away the good things that have transpired from the greatest of tribulations, we have filtered through some of the best and finest achievements, with beautiful and intelligent people from all over the world. It is not ours to worry about, it was not our Award that is so coveted by others, nor is it up to us to judge. This is the time to realize, some things are out of our reach, and not of our making! This might be the release we need, the exit and the escape hatch we are looking for.

Within all of us, the mind, the body, the soul, is a simple belief that we are. We come to know who we are, and that life force what ever you may call it, whispers in our ear from time to time. Those of us, who listen to it, get information divine, or information clouded from the divine with personal ego. If we only listen to our voices, we center our self in a padded cell, fit only for the safety of our personal opinions. Open the window and see, we are not really making the sun rise faster or time stop, when we have our greatest moments of control, even in our greatest achievements in science or health, no one has ever made time or space.

It is not science fiction to look at the sky and see that we are of no great size or shape in that comparison, why do we fight like we are unique? Billions of us, but we are not staring at a different moon or sky, we just have different thoughts. Different voices, this is so minute, so-- simple, and yet so dividing. Understanding , listening and loving cant change the sad truth of those that will not allow others to have their own choices for liturgy of peace.

When the sky opens up, and the stars start to fall from the sky, and all that we knew is upside down, will we blame the Nobel peace prize? Will we blame, the government, our parents, our health-care, will those that think that everyone who discouraged them in their life -- did this? When the time comes, will you be the one that doesn't know how to have faith, when it gets really scary? Those of us, who believe and stand strong, will still be here, and still be singing the songs of faith. Because some of us will aways worry , and some will aways care, and some will always panic.

What are you? What is it that you stand for? Do people look at you and say, wow, you have really done so much with your life, that you could influence others and be a catalyst for a million trillion people? I do hope so-- I hope today that you believe that you are amazing and you can be happy, in that one smile you share it makes a world of a difference.

Thanks for being a friend, I sure love you.

Good things will always prevail.

ten things I love

You did not think I was just going to post things I did not like did you??

Of course not, and besides, that's yesterdays news....

Top ten list of things I love!

10. I love getting photos in my email from relatives
No matter what the photo is I love it!  I just love it-  Photos are great- and if you haven't heard my publisher is a great way to make real books of your favorite photos to give to friends and relatives.

9.  I love waking up to jazz music and coffee and pastries---nothing is better.  It can be at home or away, as long as I have a great mornings I have great days.  This is not something that can happen everyday, its got to be a day off, or a holiday, everyday would take the special out of it.  But I could get into the routine of, positive music and great coffee everyday.

8. I love the way old time radio makes a house feel like a home.  Listening to NPR on a Sunday, and doing chores and fixing a home cooked dinner is as charming as a home made quilt.  So many minutes not wasted, when we are doing and listening and laughing together.  If I am stuck at home at least I can listen to the same things the audience is listening to all over the world.

7.  I love the fragrance that certain Meyers soaps give the house.  That familiar scent of geranium,or lavender, or gingerbread gives it  that  warm cozy clean tone after housecleaning.  Like my mothers house, it invites the mind to concentrate on bigger ideas, and focus clearly on fond memories.

6.  I love the way children laugh, and smile.  There is nothing to warm the heart than a face with a smile full of youth, open with opportunities, and bursting with joy.  To have that face look at you in response to your life, is priceless and genuine.  It draws on your heart, divine, nothing can erase it.

5.  I love a cozy car ride, lasting at least an hour to a place that means we will meet the family, we have missed for any length of time.  The car time is as fun, as the family visit.  The journey there is as fun as the journey to come home.  The visit, restores the faith in your reason for hard work, and suffering, and the stay reminds us that there is no place like home.  Relish the time together with the ones we love, it does not last forever.

4.  I love home made soup and bread, after a ski day, or a hard days work.  If I cant be home to cook , I can get out the slow cooker and add the ingredients to a wonderful stew or pork roast or beans.  Even the unexpected guest or friend will be satisfied when we serve from the largest pot in the house.  Left overs are good too.

3.  I love the moments that we pray together.  When as a family we sit and remember to thank our Lord for the life we live, and openly show our hearts to each other, praising the one that made us.  Joy is found in prayer, and so is truth.  Nothing to fear when we pray, nothing to worry, and our yoke is lifted, we are light again.  Grateful.

2.  I love going to school with my kids.  The whole feeling of the educational system, whether it be college, High school or a class performance.  Something is special about the effort to learn, the moments in time when hopes are heightened.

1. I love life!  OK--this is too hard-- I cant pick one thing.....today now, it would be -- an email from a job offer-- tomorrow it would be the affirmation of a job well done.  Later it could be  invitation to time spent having tea on a dear friends birthday, or an opening of a show for my daughter, it does change but it is not required to be or do anything, it just is.

I leave this open, like my heart, to new things and new beginnings, believing the best is yet to come.

I am so tired!! top ten : List of things I am really tired of!

Top ten list of things I am tired of! If Mr. Letterman can do it so can I-- Since met him --I cant forget- how some people just get to say and do what ever they want.
There are times when we must be able to talk and converse about rights and wrongs. I am waiting for my funny bone to kick in, but I think this is completely serious.

10. I am so tired of kids tennis shoes being more expensive than the parents shoes...

"They're good shoes. They won't make you rich like me,"~Charles Barkley

9. I am so tired of people who claim to care and be great pillars of fame and society, travel , write books and have television shows---and make their claim on charity, but have no family of their own, or completely ignore the family they do. Charity starts at home. And no pets do not replace family.

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it's at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help yourself, the second is to help others.
Audrey Hepburn
There are many truths of which the full meaning cannot be realized until personal experience has brought it home. John Stuart Mill

8. I am tired of hearing how the world is going to end on 2012; who is taking advice from dead people? Even if it was true, even if they had all the knowledge of the Universe, and are claiming to know the secrets, what does that do for us? Another reporter that needs its source checked.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It is already tomorrow in Australia.
Charles M. Schulz
It is a curious sensation: the sort of pain that goes mercifully beyond our powers of feeling. When your heart is broken, your boats are burned: nothing matters any more. It is the end of happiness and the beginning of peace.
George Bernard Shaw

7. I am so tired of worrying if our Government is doing what it should. You voted for them, you pay their wages, why elect someone to just torture them? If they are not doing their jobs, they why aren't they fired? If we cant fire people or hold them responsible, then why do we even have government. I'd say that is just a mixed message make them do what they promised or hold them accountable. But don't expect miracles, people are people.
There will be no end to the troubles of states, or of humanity itself, till philosophers become kings in this world, or till those we now call kings and rulers really and truly become philosophers, and political power and philosophy thus come into the same hands.
Plato

6. I am tired of totally misleading ads for food, like fast food, or restaurant chains. Why does anyone think that food can taste exactly the same--each and every time we buy it? Does anyone understand food, or how it is made or where it comes from, it is impossible to have identical results every time. I also think when the photo shows a sandwich with tons of toppings, and burgers with real tomatoes and salads with real greens and lettuces, it should be just like that photo!! WE ARE HUNGRY FOR REAL FOOD NOT PHOTOS!

Yet food is something that is taken for granted by most world leaders despite the fact that more than half of the population of the world is hungry.
Norman Borlaug
5. TIRED of seeing the biased reporting of the different major television companies, and grafted --out- internat media outlets. One station will report what another station will say, and then debate that it is true and real--news, and then interview a innocent by stander in the street for an "unbiased" opinion--useless.. If it news, it happens to you, or it is important to your life. Debating the right to call people liars, and or judging someone by their lack of honesty is a newsworthy item, but if no one ever wins, agrees or makes a point worth listening to-- then we are soapboxing, and using the media for our own toy.

Everything human is pathetic. The secret source of humor itself is not joy but sorrow. There is no humor in heaven
Mark Twain

4. I am sooo tired of the super rich being touted as our saviors, that is not to say that money wont save you to some extent--YOUR OWN MONEY, but why should someone elses money save us? Honestly- it would never be enough-to save me !
~Oprah cant save us, no she cant, and neither can Warren Buffet or Bill Gates. They cant buy us anything but the proverbial stairway to heaven. It is easier to spend other peoples money, and credit cards are just another way of begging for loans we really cant afford, like kids driving fancy cars but living at home--dont judge people by the car they drive! And living the life of a Rock star seems soo fun- don't forget there is no job security there, and do not get old. ( okay- I dont know anything about this- but what I MEAN IS--"ITS A LONG WAY TO THE TOP IF YOU WANT TO ROCK-N-ROLL", or I just feel for them, its a life--that you probably have to deal with ALOT! the Fame deal) If you think that -- someone elses life and money-- is better than yours, and you insist on knowing what other people make, and obtaining mass amounts of money-- I do hope YOU are prepared to save the world, and not act un-american, or even think about--opening a school, because you will be judged and asked to do for everyone and tell all how you did it, and publish the "secret" to your success--well does that make any sense? NO! Super rich people aren't saviors they aren't "super--friends" and money did not transform them into supernatural beings of light and knowledge. Once you become super rich you do not become God. I bet most of them are hermits.

It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you'll do things differently.
Warren Buffett

3. I am very sick and tired of hearing that we are all getting sick, and dying. Guess what, we are all going to have to live our life andwe will get sick, and one day- die. We do and eat-and work, and yes there will be germs. If you have not learned by now, to wash your hands, and not spread germs, you have only one excuse, you are a baby. Only infants can't know this, the rest of us, no matter what our intelligence level we are at, can understand we will get sick, and it will effect some worse than others. Healthy lifestyles are going to be better than not healthy ones, we dont need to use fear mongering to keep us from traveling, eating out, or going to group activities. The worst plagues on earth have yet to do much to make a dent in the population. Without illness' our immune systems do not get stronger, and worry will not protect you.
We are not victims of aging, sickness and death. These are part of scenery, not the seer, who is immune to any form of change. This seer is the spirit, the expression of eternal being.
Deepak Chopra
Pay attention to your body. The point is everybody is different. You have to figure out what works for you.
Andrew Weil
2. I am sick to death of the ads on TV, that show --older couples who are old enough to know that sex should be private, but they still insist on telling us that cant do it, and take expensive--drugs to make it happen, and then sell it to me---. They make it look like you can buy love, or sex, or happiness, and it just the other year or two ago, it was disgusting to refer to mens body parts, now its ok to talk about anything! Not to mention the details of what to watch out for if the drug goes wrong, what makes this ok? And we cant look at breasts on the Superbowl but we can learn about what happens to old men?
First you forget names, then you forget faces. Next you forget to pull your zipper up and finally, you forget to pull it down.
George Burns

1. I am really tired of political extremists trying to make me think like they do--stop punishing me for things I never did!

Idealists are foolish enough to throw caution to the winds. They have advanced mankind and have enriched the world.
Emma Goldman
If I were given the opportunity to present a gift to the next generation, it would be the ability for each individual to learn to laugh at himself.
Charles M. Schulz

cookies for sale--what shape are you in?

Reporters thrive on the world's misfortune. For this reason they often take an indecent pleasure in events that dismay the rest of humanity.
Russell Baker

I am giving up on the news.

I have already given up on Television, and thought I could escape the non-news by just picking the good news from the internet....but this is no longer a choice is it???...Everywhere I go on the net now I have to get "headlines" What is this --Headline news? I see a photo, and then a little line, like--Father shaves daughters head,...in jail, then, I click on it, and think--why did I care? Now you see ads and pages of words and somewhere on your window it shows you this tiny tidbit of information, you thought--- well you can just peek in for a minute and see what the hullabaloo is all about. But then you cringe at the thought that you fell for it, its not even much more than a few lines, and all it does is make you wonder, since when does stuff like this make my personal in box? No wonder it takes me forever to just look at my email. My email, my "public" email gets hundreds a day, granted from facebook, but also from news and media and who knows what else, spammers, people who know my name, but I don't know them! A person could get paranoid if they wanted to! Alas, I am not that-- popular, and even though it is easily downloaded it is even more easily deleted. Yea, I do love the mass deletion methods, and often cheer myself on as I delete a hundred or so at a time....weeeeeeeeee.

Remember when Email was just---plain as can be? Remember when it had three things on it? Inbox, send and trash, what happened? I don't know how they managed to get advertisements and stationary, and applications, and folders, and what is this, an INSTANT MESSAGE ?!! Now I cant even read my email, because someone is talking to me---help! I don't believe in information over load for adults, I know we can handle it. But I thought these advanced Microsoft, cisco, att, yahoo people invented "spam" filters, and you know what-- if I did not put it there, it is spam. If I don't want ads, because I pay--good money for this ridiculously --hoodwinked --inbox, then why do even see ads? Or headlines? Today, I have a whole new inbox! It is like they are punishing me! Remember when it was fun, well guess what-- WE ARE IN CONTROL WE HAVE CHANGED EVERYTHING AND NOW YOU HAVE NOTHING!!! HAHAH
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1Nkvs3Bgpo
that is what it reminds me of-- I tasted what I was not supposed to. And now....

Yahoo, and ABC and CNN and headline news---all those reporters and up loaders might think that people want to know the sorted ugly---details of every ones hardships, but in fact we would be much better off NOT KNOWING other peoples business!!!! It used to be just the tabloids that spread the downfall of others, has celebrity gossip given into reality--gossip? By Jove....

I might theorize that now that we have the "economic disaster", it is the fault of the internet! I believe that this bad-reporting of evil and garbage has been a catalyst for the internet spawned thoughts that we can say and do what ever we want on cyber space and no one gets hurt, no one needs to know , and no one spells it right, so hey it doesn't even count right? It used to be that--celebrities were celebrated, Presidents were presidential, parties were fun, and news was weather, sports and current updates on things to do in your home town. The common news used to be that no one carried on like a bunch of teenagers commenting on the lives of others. By selling us this mixed media--of sales, gossip, insults, right -wing left wing---"terrorist" lables......feeding us the cookies for bait, and we take it ----they are stealing our freedoms, by stomping on our pursuit of happiness. We have the right to choose our own way of life, it does not always fit into right or left, or white or black or conservative or liberal, we are not insulted by this jargon, we are make to suffer for it. We are dumber for believing it. It is not any different than going to be vaccinated for being stupid, there is not one injection of information that can give you what you need, you can't buy it or sell it or get it quickly, we have to learn to learn, re-learn, re--invent, and keep moving forward.

My generation, we believed what our parents told us, but while we were touring the factory, we got thirsty, we were curious, and we have drunk the fizzy lifting drinks and now what-- we are stuck in the top of the fan, and trying our damnedest to back out of the problems, by sheer force.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKG07305CBs

well its kinda like that-- because--we think we can just do what ever we want and no one notices, because then it hits the fan.... and we realize, that we opened that bottle, we had fun, but at what price? In the movies we find little anecdotes that help us to relate to real world issues, but nothing is as strange as real life. We only wish we could just turn off the political machine, but we can not. We only dream that we can make things better with a bottle of bubbles, as alcoholic as that sounds, its not too far from the truth. Pandora's box, is a great myth, or is it? When do we go too far with words? I say, it is when all we read and say, has such threats of harm and insults of cruelty that our imagination need not be used, then we have forgotten our agreement with civilization. When did it become normal for people to wage war against the people who disagree with us? Well, it seems fitting that the same people who just went to war, sold us a war, and based it on something that proved to be untrue, is now waging a war on those that disagreed with the alternative to war in the first place. Madness!

Being sucked into the reality of the American blender, leaves us all, dead. we should some of us, remain grounded, stay focused and not I repeat not, enjoy the ride.
( and those that insist on getting into the mixer...well)

We at the bottom of the barrel, dream of a better life, by opening the up the bottle of change and drinking in the tiny bubbles, making us drunk with freedom and hope, while we clearly know, we will never escape the grind of harsh realities. At the top, the blender is still spinning faster than ever, and mixing, adding people and words, and color and fat, sex and sugar, and it will never end. Not by the force of our human hands, it will rely on someone to turn off the mixing machine, and decide to stop making money off the products they sell.

BUT---If that was true, if it only takes someone to stop selling us the cookie cutter life, when will we stop buying it?

ps-- they took away my spell check too!! MUTANY!! HAL!!

www.watoto.com

Another beautiful day-

I cant prove to you that it is --
I know it is

Its a good day to start over--
I cant prove to you that it is

I know it is...

Perfect day to be happy for your fellow person, give generously and know that the troubles will pass. I cant prove it, I know it is.

How do we know anything, because it is the constant pattern of things, we know things happen and we know we will get through it. We may think that we need proof of everything, but that is never the only way. I cant prove to you, that I am anything, and I cant even believe that you would want me to prove it to you, I know am , and that is enough.

Since the days of Aristotle, we have pondered the great myths and stories of the Universe. We are the ones on this earth to be here now, but are there any explanations as to what is out there, do we begin to grasp the vast information yet to be known from the unlimited untapped universal realm? Those who know, say, that the next world to be discovered, is microscopic.

And if you wanted to really think, evolution from Darwin, you would give him the information we have now, that he never knew, DNA. Darwin --as it is quoted by the highest professors of the Universities listed in the documentary " no intelligence allowed" thought of the first cell to be compared with a Buick, in his time, where as today, it is the space shuttle.

I hope you don't demand, Proof that is all I can say, every time i see someone say, I don't believe, and then I say what would it take for you to believe then, that thing they said--well-- it happens! And they still don't believe...
Look at the great stories of children, it is just so basic, we love children because they learn with fluidity. They also see, and feel with great sensitivity, and we train them to become "worldly".
Did you ever see the Polar Express? Did you love it or hate it?
Did you ever see, Contact? well?
Ever wondered why adults like scary movies, and cult type films about the dark side?
Do you see, parallels in Star Wars to the great Mythological stories?
What are you waiting for?
What is even better, is the supernatural ability becomes apparent to those who only truly believe.

Some say.......I don't believe in --Santa...or do I, because there was one. I don't believe in --Church, or do I because the Saints and Martyrs might tell a different story... or say you don't believe, it doesn't make me want to change you, it worries me what will come your way --and force you to change.

I believe I am always divinely guided, I believe in the power of the Holy Spirit, and I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son.

Please--don't take my word for it, go to a web site that is all about people who believe. Stories like mine, thousands of them, people with the most amazing stories--that may or may not change your mind, you have to prove it to yourself.

shot me straight from the heart

It is raining here today, the sun shines above the clouds, and I don't miss it. The soft sound of the rain, settles the spirit after such a hot summer, I am listening also to my NPR radio station, and pondering the speech about our economy. Chris rests in his own bed, safe and dry, while my other two kids are in school. Steve has my car and I am grateful, for his car's tires made me skid this am, I like the first rain, and the skidding tires.
XP
The quiet house, needs me to tend to it, but I spend time sipping coffee, and checking on my friends on Face book. I chat with my Dad in Texas, we check in and I look forward to that each morning. My Father likes to make sure I am doing ok each day, I like to do the same for him. After I am done I switch back to FB, and I make little comments, likes, and I even return a prayer to my Auntie in Washington I don't think I have seen in 7 years. I feel close to her that she sends me notes, and it warms my heart that she took the time to care and send me this little image and words.
It is a powerful pull, the need to be close to those we love it binds us together, and feeds our heart and soul. Looking at photos of my family helps me to feel close too, I love it when I get those little emails that I spend more time looking at the photos, than I do reading the words. Even those emails forwarded with photos that they did not take, but have adorable animals doing silly and fun things, I like that ! I don't mind that at all! Laughter really is the best medicine; distractions of joy, are worth it.
I like it when I get to read about stories that people put their heart into, and I am most impressed with those professionals that have busy careers, and travel and have almost no time, but manage to find the moments to write a blog. I love personal stories that transform us to live better, be ourselves and does not condemn others. I am grateful to read blogs, and see the comments and I know that is a safe way to connect online.
I could blog, and chat and email, and write all day long, I like to write, and would like to make a living writing. I need to make a better living at it, and have at least two books that need to get published. I self publish, but would love the sales from an order that would transeform my life and enable me to start a business and help others to do the same. I am a chicken admittedly-I hope to grow out of that image and turn myself into, a writer, and unabashed. I have so much to do, and accomplish, and I find that everyday is a new challenge, and in meeting those challenges I am much happier when I can unwind at the end of the day with good food, friends, and music.
Conversations at dinner always make us laugh, and I look forward to some plans this fall of a Festive Halloween party, and outside dinning and music. Libations, and costumes are optional.
I hope to start to close the gaps, in my connections with my teens, that prove to be a constant distraction from my own schedule and money making skills, and reduce my ability to find excuses to let time go by without making the progress I have to make. Pray good things for me today, if you will, I can tell when my friends and family are praying for me. My life is so much better, and I even feel better. I will be praying to God for you, be well, and keep in touch.
Blogs are easy, you can make one, email is quick I'd love to get one from you, and photos are fun, so, go ahead-- make my day-- shot me a photo.
Love Always,
LIZ

great Job!

I will say it, Great JOB

I am really not going to buy into the painful arguments that the people unhappy with Obama are touting, because, I remember what they taught me, to be patriotic, to put out my flag and never forget ! I am an American, and I have to be proud of my country.  Even if I don't like a war that has cost BILLIONS for the past * years * (but started back way back) that has bankrupt our small business' and our public schools, and our ability to be considered a free country.    I mean, I am really happy now we have put on trial a leader of a country that would kill his own people for not being true to his army and his personal beliefs, and use oil as a weapon, and  we freed the Iraqi  women, now they can vote, and wear jeans*, and live like the Awesome people they are!
They love us now..., we learned a whole new language from a president who made words up, and that's OK, and we can even just laugh at the press and laugh at the people and say-- with a Texas, drawl, Y'er Jist Gonna Have ta Trust me on this...So I learned to trust, because if I did not, my president passed a little --thing, its just this little itty bitty--thing, well its called and AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION,     called THE PATRIOT ACT, and well, it takes away my right to privacy, and it can put me in a Federal Prison for being very un-American-like --and  even if I wanted to try to protect myself , it would not matter, because my phones can be tapped, and even my mail can be read, I don't have the right to a fair and speedy trial either, and any person without a citizenship can and will be deported during any crime investigation( or interrogation ) -- we are guilty-- before we are innocent  ....Well, isn't that nice.

I listen to a whole lot more comedy now, because when  comedians can do the president better than he does, its time to get with the program.  When SNL can do political advertising for both sides and the woman who is portraying herself, doesn't even know she is condemning herself, and still blame the  media, well- the   -world is really watching...I was watching I was laughing, I was rewinding, I was posting I was thinking this is too good to be true!

Joe Rogan, is a comedian and he does some great stand up, he made some great comments on how dumb we are getting, and how we don't really even know how dumb we really are!  Well-  its an adult show, and I don't recommend it over Obamas Speech today, as far as --inspiring kids, but for inspiration for adults you can count on some belly laughs.  Why is everyone so wound up for hating Obama, I posted a "good job" on face-book today, and people I don't even know, thought it was a good time to post comments like-- " He just is such a phony- " Ironic that he talks about-- false identities"--Weird, because -- he never said that-- and I know -- I said I wanted him to compel kids off of myspace and facebook and computers, but he was perfect in his delivery of what was -- a great- speech to help kids know more about where his heart is, and what he wants for them to focus on, what is so wrong with that?

Did one kid ask about Universal Medicine?  yes ``that little outspoken @#$%,  did  have a question pop out ,---from the mouth of a babes!  We wonder where they learn such behavior...I can hear my daughter, --"blaming the child and lie and shame, you know exactly who's to blame..the mother and the father.....ompa loompa"  I said take me down the rabbit hole!

I think that it would be great if we could have affordable health care, not just for babies without parents, or teens without parents, or the elderly or the disabled, but for anyone who wants to contribute part or some of their wages, just like we do for our jobs,  even for those who really don't have jobs, or money, they too can find care. PGE and E has affordable "care" opportunites, for everyone to pay a little at time.

Shouldn't health care be as essential, as the rest of our minimal needs.  In Redding if you cant pay your city of redding bill, you are evicted from your own house, even if you own it!!  WOW-- what is the thinking there?  You cant afford  to poop, or shower,   so out on the street, to do it---on someone else's dime....In California its a law, you have to have car insurance, and you have to have insurance against someone whos not insured, but if they dont have it, --then how can  you get money-- PEOPLE we pay for those who arent insured already--why not make them at least pay a minimal -- my AAA wants me to pay-- for medical Insurance...through my car insurance for someone else if I hit them....WHAT THE HELL?  What about me?  Okay, I worked for years and they took money from my check and when I needed my insurance, UNITED HEALTH CARE, that gets money from the worlds largest compaines, who funds the uninsured, cancelled my insurance, they wanted to sue my employer...Insurance is a scam, I am paying to not get sick I am paying to not hit someone, I am paying to live in a house, and have the right to pay for my Mortgage, but if I need anything from them-- they dont care=-~

When will anyone regulate the money given to these insurance companies?  I bought into the world of work and pay and take care of me...No one in NY Corpprate Co. cares.....about the little guy-- down in California---It's time, to really see--People are worth it! And we can do it with style-- we could have nurses in Schools again, and they could help with kids, we should have dentists at school!  Teach kids how to brush  We could really rethink so many things, and would it really be so bad?  I remember my school nurse room, it was a haven for the bruised child, no matter what happened at school, I could always count on my nurse.  Adults, should think about that----

Our cities and states, offer care for those in fires, for those who are criminals, for those who are working for the state or the city, those of us, that dont work for the government would also like to benefit from our taxes.  Now we know the government already knows our personal information, they have access to any information, and if you think that its new that the IRS knows your detailed and sorted life, wake up!  Don't pay taxes, and you will not be forgotten, you will have a brand new understanding of  Federal care.    We pay for plenty, with our jobs, with our taxes, with our lives, our children and our ancestors.  Our families are here because they fought hard to be here , we are proud to say that, but the truth is, not everyone can fight.  Not everyone should fight, and you know what-- maybe we should start fighting germs and leave other people alone, we might actually get somewhere.

If we say good job, it should not be for -- fighting, it might be best for us, to working towards a new way of thinking.

I want to remind everyone of the reality of the song that I heard in a dream, it was May 1 2001, and I remember the little boy with a huge gun, he stood over the body of an American Soldier  he had just shot down dead, and he looked up to me, while the dirty orange sand swirled in the dry wind all around us, he sang this song to me....

How can you just walk away, when you just shot and killed someone?

How can you look at me and say that isn't wrong?

How can you just walk away, when you just shot and killed someone, ' How can you say your bringing the peace, when you have to have that gun,

How can you say your helping me, when you just shot and killed someone?

How can you lie to me and say that isn't wrong.

How can you just walk away when you just shot and killed someone....

cant we just stop and think, are we killing someone with behavior we think is peaceful and yet is not? , Walk together and sing, lets not shoot down our people, or their people, lets listen to the children, and sing their songs, of freedom...

Great Job Obama, take charge with words of inspiration, dont kill us with ego.

warped reality -skid free

Egad!!

Look at this photo of Chris' hand, it looks warped and strange , like an animated hand, and no one would believe that we did not photo shop this image. This tells a story, we see it one way, the camera sees it another, and reality may even tell a different story. But the warped images that come through also tell a story, the movement of this photo, the image that can't be understood, unless explained, and the unexplainable that remains as shown.

Do our eyes deceive us? Are we oblivious to a universe in front of our eyes, invisible to the naked human eye, but clearly there with the lens of a camera or another more sensitive lens the one we rarely rely on, our inner insight.

Do we look up in the sky, in the daytime and see stars, no because they are not visable -- that does not mean they are not there. When was the last time you saw your back, but you know its there. You cant see it, but can feel it-- you know its there. You see it in the reflection in your mirror, and you forget about looking at it. Its just not important. If you have back pain, you cant see it, but its there, and you know its there, and your back becomes very important, and we have technology, and all sorts of amazing machines to see inside our bodies now, but we cannot see pain.
Just like pain we cannot see, love, that feeling in our hearts, that we know is there but we cant see it. That has got to be intelligent design, wow. Think about it, if we knew every time someone hated or loved us, just by looking at them -- what a crazy world this would be! People would be fighting mad all the time, over how someone just looked at you! Wow, aren't you glad we cant see other peoples emotions, and thoughts. But that some how, replaces the reality that they do exist, and how can we deny that they have a place and space in our reality. Once I was so sure I saw someone move through time and space unlike anything on our plane of reality, and it was unmistakable-fear, not like falling, or making a mistake, but like biting your cheek when eating, like hitting your head on something that you did not see, like you have just been cut-but your not going to die. Your blood runs fast and hot, and your eyes widen, you search for the hand rails, and there are none. Your mind reaches for the exit door, and nothing is there , I was forced to watch and wait until the forces that be, were done with me, its not like a fantasy dream, its a moment when time actually stops.

I am aware of the fact that your view is different than my view, and if I just voice my opinion about the days events we might be agreeing to disagree, and walk away wishing we never brought up--the "daily topics". Let us not find the differences, let us remind ourselves that no matter what we do agree upon, we are still different people, you will go your way, I will go mine. It is up to us alone to be strong in our beliefs, and not untie our knots when it comes to our promises to ourselves and our true faith. What ever your concept of God may be, be at peace with God, aware only that it all will unfold and make sense someday, if not now. We are but minute infinitesimal specs in this universe, and yet as small as we are, we have our own brains, and we are meant to use them, and not forge ideas in stone to be buried and forgotten , and walked over like graves of our past.

Even Buried history teaches us many things, I have been saying to the worried-- over fretting, right republicans, " we still have Catholics.." and that should make you think, they can outlaw your faith, they can make you a religious---criminal, and even tear down your greatest paintings, and burn your buildings, kill your best people---( that's horrible!! ) and cover up your stories, and hide your books, but it wont change anything even in 500 years! We still have a great Jewish society ,and freedom of religion, no matter may come, it does not change the hearts of the faithful.

Why do we forget these proven images of strength? Do we retreat into fear and start the torch of hatred? Why warp reality, to allow the anger to take over, the moment the record skips we change it, so change it! If you want to change the world its easy-- just change your mind, change the record! Change your environment-- go for it! Mysteries of life-still exist to be discovered, don't so afraid to change, ***LIFE***its really going to change with or without us!

My life is full of unexplainable images, and no matter what I do to describe them, or write them, or illustrate them, nothing can change the facts, no explanations exist for me. Mystery is a wonderful feeling, it's almost like- the moment you realize your getting onto a roller coaster, and you know that it's fun, and fast, but you are never quite sure what is around that corner until you get there. The more we try to anticipate it, the more we ache inside, and it makes more sense to let the ride, fulfill our senses in the mysterious ways it does. It is different every time we experience it. Even if we know every curve, we can find a new corner of mystery to explore, and put up your hands, let life take you where it goes-- its okay-- you are in HIS hands. What is even more amazing is how we take gravity for grandid, but that is another day.

One story that fits here, is the one that is all about letting go of the illusion of control. Pennies from heaven was my last entry, and I promised to do a part 2. but I still can not bring myself to tell the whole story of my experience. Some things are just private and meant to be saved, for me, and I can re tell them better with similar examples. I guess that is why, we search for similar examples of our lives, pennies from heaven, and angels, and miracles, we want to believe that other people have seen this too. We really want to believe that it must be true. Carl Sagan, says in his Cosmos series, I really want to believe that there is a God, or that there are Aliens in space. He also says, he cant find any proof, and that he was searching for it, and hoping for it, and that space would be a great waste without it. Carl Sagan, manages to speak clearly about his faith to human species to remain curious, and open minded, or we would all suffer greatly from it. I love the way, he says, you are made of star stuff, and I have more in common with this tree, that any animal, he makes the universe make sense, he takes the mystery of the big picture, and describes it in such wonderful detail that we understand it. And we belong to it again, because we see our story in the similarities of nature and space. Even though we know the obvious differences, we believe this scientist, because we want to believe he is smarter than us. But for someone as decorated and celebrated as he was, he surely had a surpriseing personal life and set of personal beliefs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Sagan

"Sagan was a user of marijuana. Under the pseudonym "Mr. X", he contributed an essay about smoking cannabis to the 1971 book Marihuana Reconsidered[37][38] The essay explained that marijuana use had helped to inspire some of Sagan's works and enhance sensual and intellectual experiences. After Sagan's death, Grinspoon disclosed this to Sagan's biographer, Keay Davidson. The publishing of the biography, Carl Sagan: A Life, in 1999, brought media to this aspect of Sagan's life."

The bigger picture is never easy to see, its there all the time, but we seem to live in the images we create and we use tunnel vision to stay in our own little world. Like the mediocre political climate, that demands the ultimate sacrifice of faith, and limits our reach by cutting of the hand the gestures for holding.

My reasons for bringing up this warped reality is the current political climate, and the effects it is having on our city, our state and our frame of mind. I want to be clear and not grandstand at all, this is not my soapbox, or my advertisement, I simply want to try to explain the images I see. The same people that called us unpatriotic, and sold us a war on Iraq, are the same people that are now, slicing and dicing our country in so many pieces its like we are their sushi to be eaten alive. I understand now what they mean by, if no one does anything evil will prevail, you can tell evil by how hard it persists in making life difficult for others to be happy. In as much as I have said, we still have Catholics, we still have telescopes as well. Dont be blind, to what virtues hold onto reality, or dead to what joys remain in our faith.

pennies from heaven, Umbrellas up-side down

Pennies from Heaven...

I hope I can start by saying that, be it known that this is a accumulation of information I have collected to inspire you this summer sunday. I wanted to research quickly the origins of the penny, using the Internet WIKIPEDIA'S definitions, and references, and finding info and GOOGLE. If you think I wrote all of this--today, I will be happy to put my words in red, so that you know what I claim to know.

The phrases we love to say and use, but often forget that are relevant back for hundreds of years. Funny how I keep going back to the 15'th century these days, reformation, and the challenges for "change" in government and religion, not unlike what we are dealing with today; but it remains to be seen as we approach some of my own dates that mark my life.

Yes, as I near the September days, I remember the 9th day, and when everyone celebrates the number I will not, but hide in myself, to decide will this be the year I tell my story?

I think not yet, for I cannot even talk about it, and the what ifs consume me. But, then I meet those who have such doubt and such concern for peace in their lives, I want nothing more than to console them and make them whole. A story, a gift that is from inside, words free as sunshine and useful if needed for reasons unknown to the listener as of yet. Why should we want to convince anyone of anything, when experience is the only real teacher. If you want to know, just ask, and you will.

People are like pennies, we have worked very very hard to create civilization, we think we can create value in a coin. But it is we ourselves that devalues it, by over spending- and one penny that used to represent a value of huge commodity, is not even worth 1/100 of a dollar and doesn't exist in foreign countries. When did we loose our spare change, when did we devalue it? You tell me-- this is part 2.

Every-time you see a penny pick it up, all the day you'll have good luck. We used to believe that, now it is just superstition, and so goes the tradition of loving pennies.

So goes the need to save them and look at the year they are made, and take a moment to think about how it got to where you found it, and how far it might have traveled to get there.

Part :1 Research of the common phrases and origins, (and Brainstorming), waiting for you to comment-here is a few words to chew on, more come.

Old English versions of the word penny are penig, pening, penning and pending; the word appears in German as pfennig and in Dutch as penning. These words are thought by some to have been derived from the Germanic word Pfand, meaning "pan" (refering to its shape), or the Dutch word pand and English word "pawn", words which mean "a pledge or token".

An equivalent to the penny in ancient times was the Greek drachma. Later came the Roman denarius.[1]

When Britain was under Roman rule, most of Britain used the coin-based monetary system that was used by the Roman Empire, but their system of coinage soon changed after the Romans left. As the invading Anglo-Saxons began to settle and establish their own kingdoms, some started to make gold coins based on the old Roman designs or designs copied from the coins used in the Frankish kingdoms. Their monetary system had several serious flaws: First, gold was so valuable, that even the smallest coins were very valuable, thus, these gold coins would only be used in large transactions. Further, gold was very rare, and this rarity prevented such coins from being common enough to use for even large transactions.

Between the years 640 and 670 AD, there seems to have been a movement by the Anglo-Saxons to use less pure gold in coins. This made the coins appear paler, decreased their value, and may have increased the number that could be made, but it still didn't solve the problems of value and scarcity of coins made mostly of gold

The United States one-cent coin is a unit of currency equaling one one-hundredth of a United States dollar. Its symbol is: ¢. Its obverse has featured the profile of President Abraham Lincoln since 1909, the centennial of his birth. From 1959 (the sesquicentennial of Lincoln's birth) to 2008, the reverse featured the Lincoln Memorial. 2009 will see several designs to honor Lincoln's 200th birthday, while the coin will be re-designed in 2010. The coin is 0.75 inches (19.05 mm) in diameter and 0.061 inches (1.55 mm) in thickness.

The one-cent coin is often called a penny, but the U.S. Mint's official name for this coin is cent.

1793–1857copper
1857–186488% copper, 12% nickel (also known as NS-12)
1864–1942bronze (95% copper, 5% tin and zinc)
1943zinc-coated steel (also known as steel penny)
1944–1946brass (95% copper, 5% zinc)
1946–1962bronze (95% copper, 5% tin and zinc)
1962–1982brass (95% copper, 5% zinc)
1982– present97.5% zinc core, 2.5% copper plating

The isotope composition of early coins spanning the period of 1828 to 1843 cents reflects that of cooper from Cornwall ores from England while coins after 1850 that from the Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan ores, a finding consistent with historical records.[1]

In 1943, at the peak of World War II, cents of zinc-coated steel were made for a short time due to war demands for copper. A few copper cents from 1943 were produced from the 1942 planchets remaining in the bins. Similarly, some 1944 steel cents have been confirmed. From 1944 through 1946, salvaged ammunition shells made their way into the minting process, and it was not uncommon to see coins featuring streaks of brass or having a considerably darker finish than other issues.

1974 aluminum cent from the Smithsonian

During the early 1970s, the price of copper rose to a point where the cent almost contained more than one cent's worth of copper. This led the Mint to test alternate metals, including aluminum and bronze-clad steel. Aluminum was chosen, and over 1.5 million of these cents were struck and ready for public release before ultimately being rejected. The proposed aluminum cents were rejected due to two factors. Vending machine owners complained the coins would cause mechanical problems. Pediatricians and pediatric radiologists pointed out the radiodensity of the metal inside the respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts was close to that of soft tissue and therefore would be difficult to detect in a roentgenogram.[2] About a dozen aluminum cents are believed to still be in the hands of collectors, although they are now considered illegal, subject to seizure by the Secret Service.[citation needed] One aluminum cent was donated to the Smithsonian Institution.

The cent's composition was changed in 1982 because the value of the copper in the coin started to rise above one cent.[3] Some 1982 cents use the 97.5% zinc composition, while others used the 95% copper composition. The price of copper later returned to profitable levels.[citation needed]

Many people can hear the difference between the bronze and copper cents and the newer, zinc cents: simply flip the coin, giving it a good, solid strike. The predominantly copper pennies produce a ringing sound in the 12 kHz range. The zinc coins make a noise that is different.[4] In addition, a full 50-penny roll of pre-1982/3 pennies will weigh 5.4 oz. compared to a post 1982/83 roll which will weigh 4.4 oz.

Mintage figures for the Lincoln cent can be found here.

Facts from GOOGLED PHRASES:

It's in this book that we find the earliest known citation of the line, "A penny for your thoughts." While it's unlikely that Heywood coined the phrase himself (excuse the pun), there's no documentation to tell us how much further back it might go. For all we know, it originated twenty thousand years ago with the caveman equivalent of "bright shiny rock for your thoughts."

Even if we take the 1546 publication date of Heywood's tome as the date of origination, it's hard to answer your second question--inflation is based on the difference in cost for like services over time, and quite frankly, there aren't a lot of like services between now and 1546. It's easier to set a price based on the 1906 re-printing of Heywood's proverbs. A 1906 penny would be worth about 18 cents today.

We can do better than that, though. In 1521, Heywood received a 10 mark annuity as the king's servant. There are 240 pennies to a mark, so that was a yearly salary of 2,400 pennies. According to Town And Country Resources in the San Francisco Bay Area, the average butler makes between $50,000 and $100,000. Let's assume that being a "king's servant" was the equivalent of being a top butler today (hey, it was the king, after all). That means equating 2400 pennies to $100,000, or approximately $42.67 per penny.

Conversely, were one to take a penny and stick it in a bank in 1546 at a measly 2% interest, in 2001 your account would hold $81.86. At a more robust 5% interest? Over $43 million.

So next time someone offers a penny for your thoughts, keep in mind that it ain't necessarily chump change.

: : "BAD PENNY -- The phrase usually is heard in this country (U.S.) as 'A bad penny always turns up,' meaning that a no-good person can be counted upon to come back again and again. The expression was originally English and the unit of currency referred to was the shilling. Sir Walter Scott, in one of his early nineteenth-century novels, whereto: 'Bring back Darsie? Little doubt of that. The bad shilling is sure enough to come back again.'" From "Morris Dictionary of Word and Phrase Origins" by William and Mary Morris (HarperCollins, New York, 1977, 1988).

: Here's a discussion of "bending" a penny, from www-cm.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk. The penny being discussed is one of Aethelred's silver ones:

: No-one knows the exact value of an Anglo-Saxon penny, although an earlier tenth-century law code says that you could buy a good racehorse for 120 pennies, a cow for 20 pennies and a sheep for 5 pennies. A silver penny in AD 1000 might buy the same as about £10-£20 today.

: The small gouges on the reverse of the coin are known as "peck" marks and were made with a knife to test the purity of the silver. The Anglo-Saxons would have had no need to do this, as the bust of Æthelred on the coin was a royal guarantee of its value: this coin could be exchanged for a penny worth of goods. The Vikings, however, only saw the coin for its silver content and *pecked* or *bent* it to find out how soft, and therefore how pure it was.

: So a "bent penny" might be one with softer metal (lead?) within, coated with silver and not nearly as valuable as a pure silver one -- such a penny would make a raiding Viking *most* disgruntled.

: On the other hand, bending pennies is often regarded as creating luck. Here's an account (from Sheffield, home of SHU, which hosts this site): On the night of 8th October 1960 the good people of Sheffield turned out in force in the pouring rain to say goodbye to the city's last trams (until supertram came along 30 years later!). On that night many thousands of them put old pennies on the line for the trams to run over and distort to make a unique momento of the occasion. This activity can be seen in many of the photographs taken on that famous night.

: If the father bent a penny for his daughter's welfare when he prayed to Mary, perhaps what he did was bend one and then keep it or bury it somewhere -- a form of sacrifice, since the penny would then be useless to him as cash.

I believe the 'sacrifice' interpretation is correct in this case. A tree outside one Irish cemetary is encrusted with coins - mostly pennies - that have been hammered to half their diameter into the bark and the protruding part then bent flat against the bark. A prayer is offered for the deceased, and the 'sacrificed' penny is proof of the sincerity of the prayer. The prayer would not be heard if the coin was a 'bad penny

PENNY WISE AND POUND FOOLISH - "Overcareful about trivial things and undercareful about important ones. The literal image is of the person who fusses over small amounts of money to such an extent that he misses opportunities to save or make large amounts. But the figurative image goes way back; in 'The Historie of Foure-footed Beastes' (1607) Edward Topsell wrote: 'If by covetousnesse or negligence, one withdraw from them their ordinary foode, he shall be penny wise, and pound foolish.'" From "The Dictionary of Cliches" by James Rogers (Ballantine Books, New York, 1985).

PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS - "What's on your mind? (Usually said to someone who is looking pensive.) The saying is from a time when the British penny was worth a significant sum. In 1522, Sir Thomas More wrote (in 'Four Last Things'): 'It often happeth, that the very face sheweth the mind walking a pilgrimage, in such wise that.other folk sodainly say to them a peny for your thought.'" From "The Dictionary of Cliches" by James Rogers (Ballantine Books, New York, 1985).

Contrary to the OED's grim view of pennies falling down from the sky, I found several places online which contribute this saying to a positive action done by caring angels. Some even take this expression literally and say that angels did pay them, and more than a visit (see a link below).

Also, a poem citing the custom (an excerpt) by Charles Marshburn:

"I found a penny today
Just laying on the ground.
But it's not just a penny,
this little coin I've found.
Found pennies come from heaven,
that's what my Grandpa told me,
He said angels toss them down
Oh, how I love that story!" (http://www.poofcat.com/inspir36.html).
